Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
a change in position is not rotation around its own axis (that is - spin).

"orbit involves motion" does not equal spin around its own axis too
 Quoting: andrew

Are you reading some sort of weird phantom posts that no one else can see? Are you responding to the Great Gazoo? Because you don't seem to be reading my posts at all before you respond to them.

The moon revolves around the Earth AND spins on its own axis. The fact that the same side faces the earth is proof of its spin because of the fact that it moves. If it did not spin in addition to revolving around the Earth, then we would not see the same side all the time. We would see different sides because we would be viewing it from different angles.

"of its own" means Moon lacks spin around its own axis. what we see in that gif is not spin around its axis, its optical effect

Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
this animation does not show rotation of Moon around its axis, of its own!
this "rotation" you refer to is a relative thing, abstract, optical illusion

What does "of its own" mean? What other body do you think the Moon's rotation belongs to?

the fact is, they dont know why does it behave that way or it doesnt stick with their sacred formula, so they invent something science-like, some pseudoscientific crap like "changes position as a part of its orbit..".

Moon in that gif anim does not rotate around its axis, all it does is rotate around Earth!
(it has no spin around its own axis)

1) The Moon doesn't 'rotate' around Earth, it 'ROVOLVES' around Earth.

2) What do you mean they don't know why? Of course 'they' do. What formula do you think the Moon is violating?

3) I asked you what "of its own" means. You didn't answer.

Moon does not rotate around its axis, all it does is rotate around Earth!
(it has no spin around its own axis)

See the bolded above. An orbit is called a 'revolution' not a rotation. You are confusing the terms.

Now... if all you are going to do is repeat the "Zeta party line" and refuse to answer the questions of discussion I ask you, I'll not waste any more time.

i answered you!

"of its own" means Moon lacks spin around its own axis. what we see in that gif is not spin around its axis, its optical effect
 Quoting: andrew

No, I have asked you maybe a dozen questions on the last page or so that you have not answered. Your response, here, is not truly responsive to the questione. If you are going to converse in a language (English) other than your native one, you need to be more carefull if you want to be understood.

Now... "Of its own" is what I asked you about the meaning of, but your answer is not direct. You just used it as an excuse to repeat the "Zeta party line" again that the Moon doesn't spin.

I have asked you if Earth rotates. Does it? How do you know?

If the moon doesn't rotate around its own axis, then how come we see only one side of it, oh enlightened smart andrew ?

Maybe this will help you:

Put a chair in the middle of your wank-bunker (meaning your room). Then stand a meter away from it, facing the chair. Now try to walk around circling the chair and while doing this stay facing the chair without turning your head. If you are not as stupid as we think you are you will see that you have to rotate around your own body axis to stay facing the chair.

If it's just an abstract optical illusion, why is it easier for a spacecraft to launch eastward from the moon's surface to reach lunar orbit than westward from the moon's surface?

Just for review, Andrew, here is a repeat of the lie Nancy told about libration: How about explaining why Nancy LIES about the definition of 'libration' in order mislead people into thinking that the Moon shouldn't APPEAR to rotate as we watch it cross the sky?

"But the view for any given latitude should vary only by 7° 7 minutes, a movement called Lunar Libration, equivalent to the hour hand of a clock moving a mere 1/2 hour."

Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
I think that Andrew really doesn't understand the difference between Nancy's two claims about the Moon. Both are false.

1) Nancy and "Zetas" say that the Moon doesn't rotate on its axis. This refers to the Lunar axis which is, more or less, aligned with Earth's axis of rotation. Think of a basketball and a tennis ball held out in front of you and both are rotating on a vertical axis so that you see all sides of them as they rotate.

2) Nancy says that the Moon shouldn't change its apparent vertical orientation as it crosses the sky. This is different than example #1. Think of a nickel coin held out in front of you with a president's head on it. Nancy says that the face on the nickel or the face on the 'man in the moon' shouldn't change so the top of his head points differently as the Moon crosses the sky.

Both of Nancy's claims are demonstrably false.

Nope - never do. I live on a busy state road with no sidewalk and a hundred yard driveway. Ironically though, I live in town, and right behind me is typical American subdivision teeming with trick-or-treaters. Accross the street is a party store and the best restaurant for fifteen miles.

I *LOVE* my privacy!

Here's the latest from the ning, illustrating my point. Nancy has them convinced and they have solidified it in their own minds that the Moon should not change its radial orientation as we watch it move across the sky. Problem is, what are taking as proof of 'wrongness' is completely normal. What this guy says is fully wrong, but no one will be allowed to correct him without being immediately banned.

"If the moon was moving around its posistions in the sky would change which is what alot of you have noticed but this would not change our perspective in terms of the angle of sunlight on its surface, a tilting angle means its the Earth that is changing its posistion. Alot of stuff we are reading about can be viewed as speculative, denial is a powerful and conditioned response but this is actual physical proof, right in front of your eye's and for me blows any doubts out of the window. In terms of alerting friends and family this is the best thing we have, just tell them to observe and check a moon phase chart.
I mentioned it to some friends this morning, i first asked them if they had noticed anything strange about the moon, they looked at me and after a while they said they did think it was looking strange but could'nt put their finger on it, then i told them a few things, it definately sank in. I'm going to send them a link to this site."

Wow, unbelievable. It's like saying there's something wrong with the orientation of the earth because you're getting field rotation in an alt-az mounted scope. Try tracking the moon with a polar mounted telescope and see how much it appears to rotate over the course of a night...

It is! Ever since high school I felt "adrift", until one day at work I kind of "freaked" and then navigated to the Metra train map to get as far away from Chicago as I could while still being able to commute daily. (At the time I was living in a McMansion I couldn't really afford - but that's another story.) After locating the town, I then went to Realtor.com, and the very first house that popped up is the one I live in today. It was PERFECT, location, house, barn, everything. Made an offer fifteen minutes after arriving on the property. Moved in and felt HOME for the first time since leaving my parent's house fifteen years earlier. That was six years ago, and the feeling of being rooted is as strong as EVER.

LOL - nope. Probably one of the most spontaneous decisions I ever made. Thankfully, it turned out to be one of the "smartest" moves I ever made. I almost always know at a gut level whether I'm doing the right thing or not. The McMansion purchase didn't feel right at the time, and my wife hated the place - but I needed a place quick, we were moving from New Jersey, I was starting a new job (that turned out to be it's own brand of nightmare), and I just wanted the whole damn move OVER WITH. Bad frame of mind in which to one make of the biggest purchases of your life.

Of course I can say I "should have waited" and I should have, I suppose - but then I wouldn't have the place I have now, which I'm STILL in love with.
