As for him losing his job at the postal service - they are shedding jobs like CRAZY and going to close TONS of post offices as well. So NO I don't think he did "that" to himself. And I am TRULY sorry to see it happen. In spite of being an over-stuffed blowhard, I'm sure he was a good, conscientious hard-working postal employee. Heck, he's not he only over-stuffed blowhard in the world - and no, I am not vengeful and have no schadenfreude feelings either. I **KNOW** how brutal the job market is - I was out of work myself for five months, and I have computer programming skills that are guru level. The new job I got is a good one, great benefits, but paid one third less than I was making. Ironically, they almost always pay themselves, for nearly everyone who "got me" were themselves dismissed within a year of my departure (usually because the projects I was working on go south violently the day I leave - always as a result of the "snit" underestimating how much RAW work I was really [and quietly I might add] doing for the organization). Still - it wreaks havoc on the resume, and makes managerial references "problematic". The places I suffered the most from this were both hedge funds. No surprise there. Being a TOTAL ASS is required to be a successful trader. At least in my experience ... Very interesting . . . I had the impression that you were an attorney . . . must have been a rumor I am an attorney! (I have a JD and am a member of a Midwest Bar Association IN GOOD STANDING.) I haven't practiced since 1994. Found I like working with computers SO much better than wrangling with clients, judges and other attorneys. Computers are NEVER "arbitrary" - where the others are MOST of the time! (Or too often for my taste anyway.) The clients were the WORST though. Most of them just wanted some form of REVENGE against the other party, when often THEY THEMSELVES were the original instigator of whatever dispute they were in!!
