A lot of weird stuff was supposed to happen this past fall according to him...and it didn't. If you want to continue supporting failed prophets, go ahead. It's obvious for all that you are no fence sitter. Otherwise, you wouldn't be going to such great lengths to support Nancy and now Clif. Does Nancy know you're moonlighting on her? Or did she lay you off like User so you had to find another shilling job?

So, how many times must a "prophet" BE wrong, before you relegate them into the "crank" bin, ZM? Please be precise as to the number, and why.

You are avoiding my question, but I'll attempt to rephrase.

So, if what you say is so: How do you distinguish the "real" prophets from the "false" prophets, since "accuracy" seems to mean "nothing" to you?

After all, accuracy seems to mean something to Nancy and the Zetas -- as they repeatedly tout their unbelievably false "100 percent accuracy" record...

The reality is that even if every debunker who ever criticized Nancy became a "bunker" right now, the fact is, not everyone would listen ANYWAY. The question was, why following Nancy's advice was bad for ANYONE??? - because THAT is what the debunkers would have EVERYONE beleive.

I got started in it with a friend (at the time) who joined one of the 2000 end of the world cults for his first effort.

He spent the 2 years prior losing his job, his family, his home in quick succession. (In a small country town, standing around on street corners handing out pamphlets about how the end of the world is coming doesn't inspire people to come to you as an accountant at tax time....)

He made a partial recovery in 2001, after the end of the world came and went without anyone even noticing it, his wife took him back again and he tried to rebuild his life again- although not many would employ him and he went from a charted accountant to a night shelf packer at the local supermarket

Then he met nancy online and it started all over again

Same thing all over again- wife and kids left (well she threw him out of the caravan they were living in at the caravan park) and he soon lost his job as he wouldn't stop badgering other employees (and late night shoppers)

May 2003 came and went, and guess what???

Everyone was still here

Then the various other dates came and went

He was reduced to wandering around town- still telling everyone who would listen about nancy and how Christmas would be too far out etc etc- meanwhile he was reduced to living behind local businesses and scavenging through garbage bins for food
He became the town nutcase, stinking, walking down the street muttering to himself and bailing people up screaming at them that they had to prepare, the world was ending `soon' (every time maxipad uses that word I inwardly cringe and want to slap him around the head at the same- tell the boy to wake up to himself)

Move on to 2007- and he's gone...
Is he alive and moved on?
Dead in a drainage tunnel? (he often used drainage tunnels to sleep in after the security boys kept moving him on)

No one knows (and most people quite frankly couldn't care less)

I hope he is still alive out there somewhere, but considering the time since anyone saw him and the state of his mind at the time- I doubt it.
