Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
I don't dismiss your assertion - you could very well be right. But how am I to "really" ***KNOW*** - except in hindsight and with the passage of more time?
 Quoting: **ZetaMax**

Yes, you have dismissed it. Without knowing it, you have given too much information and I think I understand why you do the things you do. I actually feel sorry for you.

And you're free to share ANY insights you have - but offer them without any expecation of me accepting or embracing them.

 Quoting: **ZetaMax**

I don't expect you to accept or embrace them, but I am puzzled about why you embrace the likes of Clif, Nancy and Ed Dames, who all have dismal records for predicting everything, but won't consider the other side of the coin.

So for me personally it DOESN'T MATTER if the dream is symbolic or not. I was more than prepared to see it that way - quite literally - until the Ed Dames revelations. Now I'm not so sure. But again, since I'm already "ready", it doesn't matter anyway.
 Quoting: **ZetaMax**

All dreams are symbolic. We dream to clear the cache of stuff we encounter in our day to day world. It's kind of like deleting cookies on your computer. The subconscious doesn't come up with the visuals of the dream. It operates on a whole other level. The mind interprets the information according to its own predilection, and in your case, since doom is a big part of your day to day life, you dream with doomy imagery.

I did some research on another site a few years ago, and my findings suggested that people who do not believe in imminent doom do not have doomy dreams. People that follow the latest doom monger dream about disaster all the time. Hmmmmmmmm. Kinda makes sense.

Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
Do you really think I'm going to "downgrade" the importance of my vision after listening to Ed Dames' latest pronouncements?????
 Quoting: **ZetaMax**

No.

What I wonder is why you believe Ed Dames pronouncements mean anything to the veracity of *your* vision when *he* has been so consistently wrong. Same with Nancy.

Why do you keep looking for validation of your visions with external sources and authorities with such awful track records? How are you "picking" said authorities?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74444

I think the question is why YOU "believe" there is no chance of his being right "this time"? Some people really do "eventually" learn from their mistakes. Why are so quick to beleive that 25 years of remote viewing has taught Dames NOTHING?????
 Quoting: **ZetaMax**

Because he continues to be wrong -- and all evidence shows that he hasn't learned from past errors (to the point where he doesn't ADMIT past errors, same as Nancy).

Some people DON'T learn from their mistakes. From all appearances (and no offense meant), you seem to be one of them. Certainly Dames and Lieder don't.

How many times must Dames fool you before you *finally* dismiss his core ideas as 'in error?' And, again: How are you "picking" said authorities? If not by their past performance (since Nancy and Dames continue to wallow in the 'ridiculously wrong' category) then how?

I would request (if possible, and in reasonable good taste) an explanation of your possible understanding of Zetamax. I truly *don't* understand why he tends to think the way he does, or why he accepts outlandish explanations while rejecting others -- and I have been asking questions for years to try to understand that -- thus if you have insights into his mindset, I am quite curious as to your observations.

No offense to you, Zetamax, but I have rarely grokked your positions and opinions, and if KIR has some understanding and can shed some light, I would like to further read his opinions.

Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
It's quite simple, really. Max doesn't like himself. He feels inadequate and he is afraid to confront his own weaknesses and failings, so he ignores them and looks for ways to pretend he really has his shit together.

One of the clues was what he said about his attempts at meditation. He described them as being painful. Meditation is nothing more than turning the world off and being silent within yourself and observing things as they are without prejudice. Either he was doing some masochistic technique he picked up from some flake on the internet (and knowing Max, this could be true LOL), or he is just too uncomfortable to be alone in his own company with no distractions. So as most people that can't stand themselves, he looks for distractions to fill the void and the more convoluted the better. He looks for others who will tell them what to do, how to think and behave. He creates noise to drown out his own inner voice. That way he doesn't have to look at himself in the mirror and be accountable to himself. If things don't work out, he has someone to blame besides himself. In a nut shell, he has damaged self esteem and is too afraid to deal with his own issues.

There are more clues, but it wouldn't be fair to bring that up here, as it is very personal and sensitive. I have already picked at the scab, wouldn't want him to bleed too much, because contrary to what Max might think, I don't wish to cause harm to anyone.

You are more than invited to share ANY insights you have, no matter how "personal or sensitive". You are completely ABSOLVED from any "harm" you may do. Since what you will be sharing are YOUR insights that cannot rise to a level greater than "speculation", I do not see how you could "harm" me as much as you like to think you can. So go ahead ... SPILL. I asked for it.

Aw Max, I will pass, because there is this thing I practice called ethics. My opinion here is based on a lot more than speculation. It's based on 30 odd years of "clinical" experience. Just as I would not share publicly that someone I was treating has an STD, I won't say more about it.

"DOOM" can come to an individual in so many different ways and even when one is least expecting it to. Believe you me Melfy tragedy or doom, call it what you want, can strike with devastating results no matter how prepared one is....even though it is always a good thing to be prepared for such events of any nature.

For example Melfy what are your chances of survival when an airliner falls out of the sky and crushes you and your family when you are sound asleep in the middle of the night?......zero to none!!

I'm not worried about "personal" tragedy. For that I have all the insurance a "normal" person has. I'm not worried about personal "accidents" or illnesses or any kind of incident that only affects me or my family. I'm also not worried about local tragedies like tornados or regional floods. Again, insurance covers a lot of loss, and there is very little planning one can do beyond that (I don't live in a flood plane either).

But DOOM, like a currency collapse, or crippling New Madrid quake, or the nationwide electrical grid going down, are VERY different animals, and there is NO personal protections for those beyond whatever the individual provides for THEMSELVES. There is no "insurance" beyond what the individual gathers and learns ahead of time.

Quick death is not the issue - but SURVIVAL without the means to survive is the problem.

I'm just not into slow death by starvation, or having some Mad Max goon roast me a on spit.

Those fates are preventable - if one is PREPARED.

But I must say, this radiation problem REALLY SUCKS!!! There is not much one can do to avoid succumbing to a chronic stream of low to medium level exposure over time. I don't have the means to relocate myself and my family to the Southern Hemisphere. I can only hope along with everyone else that they get this thing shut down, and SOON.

Hm. Well, then: if you don't keep track of the misses, as well as the hits, how do you improve your cognitive abilities? How do you learn to separate what works from what doesn't?

Because, it seems to me, you are repeating the same mistake over and over -- with Nancy, with Dames, with Clif.

And that's certainly *not* a path to enlightenment.

They pick "me". In other words, I simply come across their work at a time where their message resonates with whatever train of thought I am entertaining at the time.

All right. What messages similar to Nancy's and Dame's have you discovered that did NOT resonate with you?

And how many 'resonate' ideas have come you come across that have failed?

Only the "score" at the END OF THE GAME matters. Everything else is just "stats". It doesn't matter who wins the "stats" game, only those with the highest score when the last whistle blows WINS. I look at ALL these prognosticators who have "checkered" pasts, to see if there is some kind of "prediction consensus" building around 2012 and events slated to happen around them.

A New Madrid quake would logically happen BEFORE the "celebrated" events of 2012, given that New Madrid is an acknowledged fault zone that has registered North America's BIGGEST quake in recorded history, and is already "active" (Arkansas has got a region that is getting noticable tremors not just "daily", but damn near "hourly").

I'm aware of the "scientific" predictions - but I like to go BEYOND science and see if there are addtional timing "clues" in the woo-woo world.

It's just "simple" intelligence gathering - nothing more.
