I should add that Morley and Thompson also made the mistake of confusing the solar year of 365.25 days with the vague year of 360 days. This is what really put their correlation further out of synch with the true correlation. The vague year is used to count the days on the long count cycle, and it does not allow the tracking of the seasons or other events related to the solar calendar. Thompson and Morley believed that the full Baktun cycle was 5200 solar years, when in reality, it is 5200 vague years, which is equivalent to 5128 solar years plus 280 days.

In reference to Nancy's stupid video, she claims that the Mayans observed a cycle of 3600 years. This is false. Of all the cycles they did observe, this one does not figure at all. I suppose she took the vague year of 360 days, multiplied it by 10 and came up with a convenient number, but it is meaningless in Mayan lore and calendar cycles. On the long count system, dates are counted in groups of 20, not 10.
