Indigenous peoples in Yucatan refer to themselves as Halach Uinic, which means true men.

I honestly don't know. I lived in "Mayan" territory for 22 years and I never heard anything about it. I did see lots of unreal things, but no crystal skulls. Not to say they don't exist. I wouldn't know. I only know that if they do exist, they have nothing to do with the people called Mayans.
