There is no doubt that the "church" was used for political and state purposes by developing a religious orthodoxy between the decline of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance. On topic; My interest in the bible is mainly in the book of Genesis, because of my interest and research into early human history. Sodom and Gomorrah?
