Okay, why don't you address the questions asked about your claims regarding earthquakes and fireballs? Why do you keep running away from that? A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |

***ZetaMax*** User ID: 659599 United States 12/23/2009 12:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I laughed out loud at Luser's 'filling out resumes' gaffe. Shows what he knows, all right. Quoting: Returner 847845What's the phrase most commonly directed at Luser during his workday? "Got them fries ready for drive-thru, dumbass?" Hey "Returner" - why don't you RETURN from wherever it was you "returned" from!! The best advice we can give on this matter is to read with your heart as well as your mind. Follow the flow, let the nuances lie unanswered and unchallenged in your mind. Treat this as a garden you are walking through for the first time, and experience it fully without trying to categorize it! Much of what you will learn will be processed in your subconscious, and influence your conscious mind later. If you must dissect each phrase, and correlate it with each piece of information taken from another source, you will trash much of what you could otherwise gain. And where were they, and please give specific locations -- none of that 'to the right of the Ecliptic, left of the Sun' nonsense. And isn't it odd that Luser has steadfastly refused to deny his well-known affiliation with NAMBLA? |

Circuit Breaker User ID: 766491 United States 12/23/2009 02:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, it's snowing again. We got 2 1/2 inches overnight. It gave me an opportunity to try out the WinterTrax my mother sent me. They strap on to the bottom of your shoe and are supposed to help your traction. I found they worked only so-so. They work pretty good on ice and hard packed snow but do nothing on the unpacked stuff. Got home and spent 30 minutes getting my wife's car ready. Since the car was warm when she got home, when it started to snow it melted and then froze up. I also dug the snow out from behind her car that the snow plow left behind. She gets off early today...in an hour, so I'm waiting for her to come home and we'll get out and do something. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |

Circuit Breaker User ID: 766491 United States 12/23/2009 03:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I want a telescope so bad. I had one before moving to Tampa, but it wasn't all that nice. It worked and I saw lots of cool stuff but it didn't have any provision for adding a camera and it was on a pedestal type mount that you had to move by hand. A tripod mounted scope would have been much better. I want to get a GOTO and take it up on Pikes Peak sometime. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |

Quoting: Circuit BreakerJust find and join your local astronomy club and go to their observing sessions. In my club, we have many members who don't own scopes but the get tons of observing in with other members' equipment. Scope owners are generally more than happy to let you observe through their equipment at club sessions. I have a spare 10" Meade LX-200 at my observatory for folks who want to visually observe when they come since all of my equipment is rigged for photography only...my current two imaging scopes have never had eyepieces in them! |

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Circuit Breaker- feel free to keep it. I'm a little far away (I live in Philadelphia) but still... that storm of yours can stay right where it is, thank you. I've been on crutches for months (surgery) and it was all I oould muster to not fall and crack my head open during this week's storm. Not to mention this whole fuckin' city shuts down. Ugh. Presposterous. Snow. |
