Newbies are annoying - precisely because they want the Clif notes version to "decide" if it worth their while to continue investigating or not. Frankly, such folk are best shoo-ed away anyhow because odds are, as easily as they are turned-off by the puppy stories and such, just as easily they are fodder for the mass media masters. In other words, they do a LOT of "reacting", and very little "thinking".
