Cheryl sent out some guidelines on her ning affirming the Earth Changes group's commitment to free speech! Free speech is great! Yay! As long as you follow the Golden Rule then you can say whatever you want.

Of course Cheryl has a weird concept of the Golden Rule. Normally it's "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Right? Well, Cheryl's version is more like, "Do unto others as a 'reasonable person' would have others do unto them. And by 'reasonable person' I mean a bipolar 84-year-old Honduran nun."

The logical conclusion, of course, is that if you welcome disagreement and criticism rather than insulating yourself in a hermetically sealed bubble of like-minded people, you're not a "reasonable person."

Nancy might want to think about spending more time here before nott2000 takes some wind from her sails.

Honestly Cheryl's ning is kind of boring, it's just economy doom and sinkholes and magnetosphere readings and SOHO.

I tend to not give them crap even if they start. If they have come to the point where they have to give me crap and become rude over my polite questions and observations, or carefully ignore answering my questions, I consider that a win in itself.

Their inability to answer politely belies THEIR claims, not problems with the questions.

It's been a clever psy-ops excercise by those 'in the know.' Can't be bothered with them now.

I put harrington's hypothetical orbital elements for planet x into cartes du ciel on my laptop tonight, so the next fool to bring up harrington's research as proof and then claim the revised mass for Neptune was a massive conspiracy and coverup is going to meet a nasty surprise debunking.

Harrington's work called for a planet which would be at magnitude 14.5, easily detectable, and based on his orbital elements, we're at the tail end of the observing season for px this year with it transiting the meridian at 7:45 or so. You need a southern location, but Florida is plenty south enough. I'm still going to put an end to the Jupiter too bright nonsense whenever it finally stops raining, but as soon as that is done I'm going to set aside some time to put harrington's research to bed.

Just a quick look at the theoretical specs from Harrington's shows immediately that his proposed planet would never come anywhere near the orbit of Pluto, much less into the inner solar system. But that's the problem with these px tards, they have no idea how to read orbital specs.

Exactly, they champion Harrington's work just because it contains the buzz words "Planet X" without ever realizing what it is they're championing. The excuse is usually "well it just shows they're looking." Actually, Harrington's work was all about predicting the location and orbit of it, the looking was supposed to stem from the prediction. Harrington's prediction wasn't nearly as fantastic as the doomsayers predictions, nor did it match up with the mayan long count. The last perihelion was supposedly in 1789. I don't recall the end of the world happening in 1789.
