Well, if Planet X is tearing up the highway, it's certainly done a good job of it in this country. I have had my front end repaired 3 times in the last 3 years because of the holes in the road. My unpaved road is going to be obliterated because we are going to get some heavy rains. For a couple of days there, it looked like we were really going to get hammered. But Tomas keeps jerking itself around and traveling in a squiggly line. Tomas is bigger than the whole island of Hispaniola itself - Haiti is the left 1/3 of the island, Dominican Republic is the right 2/3. Regardless of its path, Haiti is doomed, as usual. But we're going to have a real mess over here, too. Lots of Dominicans live in shack housing. If it curves some more and we get high winds, there will be some Dominicans in Oz.
