I thought about doing a dual boot on my desktop, but the book warns that can be tricky so I've thought about doing a virtual machine on the desktop. The laptop, however, doesn't get used much and had Windows XP on it. It was running really slow so I decided to wipe out everything on it and do a full custom install of Fedora...but I can easily change that to Ubuntu. I just have to burn the image to a CD or DVD and run it on the laptop.
Quoting: Circuit BreakerUbuntu is the way to go. They did, however, have some problems with wireless before rev 9.04 - I'm running dual boot on my el-cheapo Compaq laptop. Ubuntu and Windows 7. No problems.
