This is from the guy who said the buoys were normal a few days ago. I'm following up to see what he said later. He said this yesterday. "You can go to [link to www.ndbc.noaa.gov] at the top left you have a box named ", from there you can check the buoy data, incl. historical data. From there you can see the normal pattern for these buoys. Just choose longer period of time to see the normal cycle.
All the buoys mentioned on this page here behave normal, you can judge for yourself, just plot the graphics.
There's nothing extreme in buoys 55012 and 55023 behaviour, Nancy. The water column changes with 20-30 cm and you think this is extreme? Come oooon, there are waves in the ocean, the buoy sensor records that every 15 minutes. The only extreme thing here is buoy 51426."
