My opinion here is based on a lot more than speculation. It's based on 30 odd years of "clinical" experience. Just as I would not share publicly that someone I was treating has an STD, I won't say more about it. Quoting: KeepingItReal |

Still i have to admire the guts you have to hold on your word but learning not as much as a fingersnip from it. So - it's back to REALITY, and my "GOOD" name!!! This name is as burnt as the other one anyway. |

For example Melfy what are your chances of survival when an airliner falls out of the sky and crushes you and your family when you are sound asleep in the middle of the night?......zero to none!! I'm not worried about "personal" tragedy. For that I have all the insurance a "normal" person has. I'm not worried about personal "accidents" or illnesses or any kind of incident that only affects me or my family. I'm also not worried about local tragedies like tornados or regional floods. Again, insurance covers a lot of loss, and there is very little planning one can do beyond that (I don't live in a flood plane either). But DOOM, like a currency collapse, or crippling New Madrid quake, or the nationwide electrical grid going down, are VERY different animals, and there is NO personal protections for those beyond whatever the individual provides for THEMSELVES. There is no "insurance" beyond what the individual gathers and learns ahead of time. Quick death is not the issue - but SURVIVAL without the means to survive is the problem. I'm just not into slow death by starvation, or having some Mad Max goon roast me a on spit. Those fates are preventable - if one is PREPARED. But I must say, this radiation problem REALLY SUCKS!!! There is not much one can do to avoid succumbing to a chronic stream of low to medium level exposure over time. I don't have the means to relocate myself and my family to the Southern Hemisphere. I can only hope along with everyone else that they get this thing shut down, and SOON. Last Edited by **ZetaMax** on 04/04/2011 06:22 AM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74444 United States 04/04/2011 01:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's quite simple, really. Max doesn't like himself. He feels inadequate and he is afraid to confront his own weaknesses and failings, so he ignores them and looks for ways to pretend he really has his shit together. Quoting: KeepingItRealOne of the clues was what he said about his attempts at meditation. He described them as being painful. Meditation is nothing more than turning the world off and being silent within yourself and observing things as they are without prejudice. Either he was doing some masochistic technique he picked up from some flake on the internet (and knowing Max, this could be true LOL), or he is just too uncomfortable to be alone in his own company with no distractions. So as most people that can't stand themselves, he looks for distractions to fill the void and the more convoluted the better. He looks for others who will tell them what to do, how to think and behave. He creates noise to drown out his own inner voice. That way he doesn't have to look at himself in the mirror and be accountable to himself. If things don't work out, he has someone to blame besides himself. In a nut shell, he has damaged self esteem and is too afraid to deal with his own issues. There are more clues, but it wouldn't be fair to bring that up here, as it is very personal and sensitive. I have already picked at the scab, wouldn't want him to bleed too much, because contrary to what Max might think, I don't wish to cause harm to anyone. This was very interesting -- and I shall have to consider it. Thanks for your insights. |

How do you learn to separate what works from what doesn't? Because, it seems to me, you are repeating the same mistake over and over -- with Nancy, with Dames, with Clif. And that's certainly *not* a path to enlightenment. |

And that's certainly *not* a path to enlightenment. Only the "score" at the END OF THE GAME matters. Everything else is just "stats". It doesn't matter who wins the "stats" game, only those with the highest score when the last whistle blows WINS. I look at ALL these prognosticators who have "checkered" pasts, to see if there is some kind of "prediction consensus" building around 2012 and events slated to happen around them. A New Madrid quake would logically happen BEFORE the "celebrated" events of 2012, given that New Madrid is an acknowledged fault zone that has registered North America's BIGGEST quake in recorded history, and is already "active" (Arkansas has got a region that is getting noticable tremors not just "daily", but damn near "hourly"). I'm aware of the "scientific" predictions - but I like to go BEYOND science and see if there are addtional timing "clues" in the woo-woo world. It's just "simple" intelligence gathering - nothing more. |
