Thank you for that thoughtful response. Mostly I agree with you. I too have had "storm" dreams - often tornados - that I knew represented "some other problem".

BUT ... one early morning almost three years ago, I was in that mental state just between "waking and sleeping" - where you are becoming of aware of you surroundings, can hear vehicles outside, birds chirping, etc. - yet, your eyes are still closed, and you might even be finishing up a "dream". I was on my back, in my bed, and in that "coming awake" state when "IT" happened ...

Immediately I found myself walking in the middle of an earthquake DESTROYED ***CHICAGO***. The entire city was one complete and total unrecoverable disaster area. There was six inches of glass beneath my feet as I walked down the CENTER of the street. There was NO ONE around anywhere - the entire downtown area was completely deserted. Yet, the devastation was not "dirty" or "weathered" so I knew the disaster had just happened at least weeks before. The sun was shining brightly, and there was not a cloud in the sky. The temperature was in the seventies, and I could feel the warmth on my back. (This was what was SO unusual about this "vision" - was the INTENSITY of the experience - it REALLY WAS like being there). I *KNEW* it was late Spring - how I knew I don't know, but I certainly didn't question the impression at the time.

The city was completely DESTROYED. EVERY building was damaged to the point were repair was not possible - either structurally or financially. Nearly every building was in some state of total or partial collapse. The Sears Tower was LITERALLY broken in half. About half way up the tower, at one of its transition levels, the transiton girders (the first level of the smaller perimeter) buckled on the left side (from my perspective) and the top half of the build literally fell over and landed on other structures. Unlike 9-11, IT DID NOT PANCAKE, but fell just like a chopped tree.

I could see everything in EXTRAORDINARY detail. The broken glass, the broken stone, the dangling signs, exposed wires, you name it. It was a TRULY unforgettable five minutes (or so it felt altogether) view of the "post event".

When the vision ended, I had a VERY strong thought that it would happen in TWO YEARS.

Well - two years was "last" spring - so I've run headlong into the "date" problem again.

But never before nor since have I EVER experienced such a vivid and realistic vision/experience (not just vision, because it involved all the senses. The wind was blowing softly and a broken sign was banging against a building). I could FEEL the glass crunching beneath my feet [yes I had shoes on!] The one sense I was spared of was "smell". I'd have to imagine that in reality, there would be an overpowering smell of rot, and burnt material, and chemical spills. Thankfully I was "spared" that level of "detail".

It was truly an UNFORGETTABLE experience, and one that got my attention BIG TIME.

OK - so the date is off. But I don't feel like the DANGER is at ALL. And now coming across the prediction by Ed Dames, the Nikki "Psychic to the Stars" and her prediction of big Chicago quake, and then Clif with his "North America --separating--" quake that too is supposedly IMMINENT, has got me a bit "on edge". I live 80 miles outside of Chicago, so such a quake would certainly wreak havoc on my personal "domain" as well. In fact I made the decision just YESTERDAY to order and install an earthquake shutoff valve for the gas line to my house. Granted, in a 9.0+ (which is what it would take to damage the city as bad as I saw it) quake, my house would almost certainly become uninhabitable, but I don't need FIRE destroying all my personal possessions as well.

You talked about dreams being "personal" - well, a TRASHED Chicago would be about as PERSONAL as you can get!!

Very interesting. I can relate some dreams are a warning. My favorite dreams are when I can remember floating through the kitchen heading towards the bedroom. I don't recall leaving anywhere or what may have transpired but I do remember the floating though the kitchen part as a return trip.

I mentioned my volcano dream before. So I won't repeat it :)
