Do you have a BETTER suggestion if caught out in the open with no other protection available? The only preparation needed is a cresent wrench - which one can get for about twenty dollars at any hardware store and throw in the glove box or trunk.

You make it sound like I go out to my front lawn and lay under a car hood for one hour each morning - believing it will protect me from "pole shifts".

The insanity is the belief that an object could cause a "pole shift" without impacting the Earth. And if an object large enough to cause a shift in the rotational axis impacted the Earth, there would be no survival.

Consider that it took a protoplanet slightly smaller than Mars impacting the Earth that gave it the current 23.5 degree tilt. And that would have blown away the Earth's atmosphere and caused both the Earth and the protoplanet (Theia) to become molten. And material ejected in the impact is what became the Moon.

A large object merely passing near the Earth would not overcome the Earth's angular momentum to cause an axial tilt. A large object passing the Earth would affect the Earth's orbit, and there is no sign of that having occurred which would still be obvious if the fictional "Nibiru" had passed through the inner solar system 3,600 years ago.

You are rationalising against a Neuronless Vacuum Head (NVH) which is in no means able to rationalize.

The narrow trench, just wide enough to wedge yourself in, is actually a brilliantly simple idea that is easy to create in just an hour or two, and one that will provide an ample amount of protection against high winds, firestorms, and richtor 9 earthquakes.

By itself though, the protection is only partial. To increase the protective capacity, some cover is necessary. Now I said "link or it didn't happen" - and I was RIGHT. Sod on the other hand, is surface grass, PLUS a good deal of topsoil - at least two to three inches thick:

Sod or turf is grass and the part of the soil beneath it held together by the roots, or a piece of thin material.

The term sod may be used to mean turf grown and cut specifically for the establishment of lawns.

Sod - even one layer will increase the protective qualities of the trench by a VERY significant factor. It will provide some radiation insulation, as well as heat and fire protection due to its moisture content.

But for complete protection against gamma radiation from the sun, as well as intense firestorms, a minimum of THREE FEET would be necessary. It would be a LOT of work to build this with only hand tools, but it's do-able.

Of course you would need something to support the "sod" - such as a sheet of plywood, or doors, a large tabletop, etc. Even box springs would work in a pinch.

As far as the "sheet metal" goes, she was actually referring to a CAR HOOD - which being held on with only four bolts, is ideal as a cover in an emergency, and when time IS NOT AVAILABLE. She offered this suggestion for those caught in the open with maybe only minutes to find or create some form of protection. Someone who has a wrench can even assist other motorists to use their hood as well. And yes, if there was NO TIME to cover the hood with dirt, there would be no choice but to literally hold on to it - but not so tightly that if the wind got underneath, that you allow it make you a "passenger". yes, it is a FAR from ideal form of protection, but its BETTER THAN NOTHING.

Andrew and I have been 'hard' at work on our own "Pole Shift shelter."

When PX looms large in the sky, Andrew will lie back in our Survival Ditch. I will lie atop him, keeping myself firmly anchored to the Earth with the aid of Andrew's erect penis.

We will then ride out the Pole Shift winds.

We practice this Pole shift safety measure every evening, and twice on Tuesdays.

Max just doesn't see how silly that sounds. People behind shielded windows will be blown around like leaves but you will be safe in a shallow trench grabbing onto the fender of your SUV or sheet metal covered with sod. You bet I won't heed your advice. LOL. Honestly, if something of the magnitude suggested by Nancy ever happened, we would all be dead before we had a chance to realize something was going down. Every living thing would be dead. And if by some fluke people survived, I would rather be dead. Why are you so afraid to die, Max? There are worse things, like willful ignorance and a life wasted on paranoid speculation.
