From the sun is too northtard thread:

Yes I have a sundial, well, I HAD a sundial in my backyard and it was completely taken apart by someone (some thing?) over night. It's been there for years...and now it's in pieces all over the backyard. Thrown around.
And the sun definitely is rising and setting wierd....I get up early mornings all the time and noticed the sun rising much farther north than where it should at this time of year. It's rising and setting where it should be in August, not in May. Looks like the planet is tipping....

Thread: The Sun is Setting too far to the North for May (Page 8)

They're all wound up and paranoid. Even the moon isn't where it should be. LOL. They have come up with an accurate way of measuring it all too:

OK I'll try to be more specific. It was early this morning around 6 a.m., in the heartland, clear sky. The sun was up, and its rising appears to be in the proper placement for this time of year. I am facing south, the moon was in the southwest perhaps 30 degrees up from the mountainous horizon. It was setting not rising. There are many times I see the moon while the sun is in the sky. My thumbnail sizing was totally off base. Going outside the second time made me remeasure it. I laid my fingernails along side of it and it was in between pinky nail and third fingernail size. From the tip of my nose to the full extended finger tips of my hand it is exactly 36 inches. (I've always used this when I did not have a yard stick, very accurate) It just seemed so Tiny, not like last month when it looked like we could just reach up and grab it.

Don't mean to go from sun to moon but they are both in my gardening repertoire. Brother and sister. Since it has been so cloudy for the last month seeing them does not compare to the last time I saw them and they don't look like what I remember from last year.
