I'm very disappointed - every time I take photos of the sun I don't see "double suns" or a "rogue planet." I must be doing something wrong. I would post them on the ning, but that would get be banned since the photos show pretty much NOTHING.

As a troll- well IF you are trolling- then it's a seriously major effort for little to no return (literally years of effort for the dubious pleasure of having a very few people go `maxipad- that AH' or most people go `who????')

Went and had a look- nice shots

I couldn't see it yesterday myself either (went fishing, caught a nice couple of brim and a flathead for dinner (YUM)- but definitely nothing but a single sun when it came up and no pX)

Will have another look in 1/2 hrs time for it but not expecting to see anything but 1 sun rising and my compass in the boat spot on as usual (or I don't get to my favorite fishing spot)

Prove they're Photoshopped. This should be entertaining. Personally, Max won't do it because if he were to try - he'd end up outing himself as a liar.

At first, the group struggled for an explanation. But then rationalization set in. A new message arrived, announcing that they'd all been spared at the last minute. Ah yes, the pray it away clause. A great tool for doom cults. It not only saves face with the hopelessly gullible, it makes them feel important and special that their spiritual power saved the earth from catastrophe.

Another sun is too far north thread. New this year is the claim that sundails don't work anymore and are being vandalized (I suppose by some alphabet soup organization) to cover it all up.

You could keep time by these idiots `The sun is too far north' followed miraculously every six months later by the `sun is too far south' threads...
Kind of makes you despair that such people can ever learn - well- anything.
(Reminds me of the sheep story, sheep are really dumb animals and are easily scared... Every morning they are scared by the sun coming up, and every night by it going away. And the next morning are scared by it coming up all over again)

Rather ironic considering that they like to call the rest of us humans `sheeple' yet their own behaviour is identical to the sheep in that story...

I don't know if it's stupidity or ignorance. Either way, it's obvious these people have no clue that the Earth's axis of spin is tilted 23.5 degrees, causing the sun to move north and south depending on where Earth is located in its orbit.

I know CB. I learned this back in grade 4. Either these people didn't learn it then or the education system is failing terribly.

It's a combination of both. We're raised that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. For the most part - that's true. But WHERE in the east and west sky isn't driven home as much. While it is taught, some simply didn't pay attention. Others just didn't quite comprehend what it meant. Flash forward to the present and they're just now noticing occurrences around them that have always been happening that way...these people were just too unobservant to notice it before. So, they find it really weird and think something is wrong. But let's also not forget that some of those people know damn well nothing is amiss but are simply playing along.

Oh, and never mind that sunrise and sunset times are the same as they were a few years ago...and that Polaris is in the same spot.

So Candace has shown up on that sun is too far north thread and because I challenged her expert opinion on where the sun should be, given that she admits she doesn't know how to use a compass, she accused me of shilling and doing satanic work. I did poke fun at her claim that Jupiter has been towed behind the sun and replaced with a mothership. Sometimes I think she is loonier than Nancy.
