I just watched a program on History HD discussing cults. It was very interesting. Most followers end up in a cult because they're in a transitional state at the time and feel "lost." Maybe they're between relationships, between jobs...a number of reasons. They're somewhat vulnerable. In the case of Charles Manson, he would find teen female runaways. He would simply state the obvious such as, "I see your problem - you're having issues with your parents." But the "victim" would feel like this guy "really gets them" and understands. While most doomsday cults are "harmless" (meaning not violent and simply waiting for the end), there are many that have the twisted belief that it's their responsibility to START Armageddon. In Charles Manson's case...he thought the Beatles were speaking directly to him through the song Helter Skelter and that he was supposed to bring on the "end of the world" and then rise as the new leader in the aftermath...perhaps the only thing that he and Nancy share in common. While Nancy is rather tame, she still sees herself as some "chosen one" who will lead her followers in to a new era once the "pole shift" has happened.

Yep, she tells them about stuff that's been happening for a very long time but that most people simply don't think about or notice. Schools teach that, basically, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west...which it does. They also teach that the sun transits north and south throughout the year. But a lot of people don't pay attention to how far north or south the sun moves during Earth's orbit around it. So, all Nancy (or any other doomsayer) has to do is say - "The sun is too far north for this time of year." Someone hears about it, looks and sees that, indeed, the sun is north of dead west. Having never thought about it before or really noticed, they suddenly think Nancy is right when all they've done is observe something that's been going on for a long time. As we know, the same thing happens with the moon...it too transitions the sky just like the sun. The problem here is that some people (i.e. Freestore) believe that the moon transitions the sky EXACTLY like the sun...wherever the sun rises and sets on a particular day, that's where the moon will rise and set. They fail to realize that the moon orbits the Earth in roughly 28 days so this transition occurs over the course of a month - each and every month. Again, a lot of people know the moon is there...but they don't pay attention to what it does since they only occasionally glance at it. So, when someone tells them it isn't right, they look and think, "Wow, that does look weird."

Getting pretty damn close and there's been no sign of "Planet X."

The imaginary planet ex is supposed to be the size of Neptune. We can easily see Neptune, but where is px? If it's still beyond the orbit of Neptune so that it's far enough that it can't easily be seen, there is no possible way that it could get here by October (remember Nancy said that it would be "undeniable" in our skies "months" before the "pole shift" which is to occur BEFORE 2012). In order for it to appear before October, it would have to be travelling at faster than the escape velocity of the sun, which means that it couldn't possibly be in a periodic orbit, as the zetatards claim it is.

GAME OVER!

But "Planet X" is special...it has the ability to travel at light speed...or so Nancy claims. I wonder how something so massive is able to accelerate to light speed in the first place. The gravitational pull of the sun certainly isn't enough. Of course, even if it could travel at light speed, that would mean whatever coordinates Nancy gave for the location of "Planet X" would be wrong because by the time the light from "Planet X" reached Earth for us to see it..."Planet X" would be in an entirely new location.

Doesn't matter Max. Time is up for you and your little fairy tale. What possible scenario could save your story now?

Yeah, Nancy's "Moon-tilt" thing is a good example. People have just never paid attention to something which is entirely normal. That nonsense is still going on at Youtube where anyone explaining the truth can be blocked and deleted.

The only thing travelling at light speed is nelles and melfies thoughts of jumping from one bullshit to the next.

The "moon tilt" episode sadly indicates just how completely detached from simple observation of the natural motions of sky most folks are. They don't even realize that we're observing from a rotating sphere which should immediately cause them to know that this will cause everything we observe to rotate, but it doesn't occur to them. Then when they see a constellation appear to "flip" as it crosses the sky, Nancy can make them think that this is somehow not normal. Nancy's whole scheme is based on playing on the vast ignorance of basic observational astronomy of the general public.

That anyone can actually believe her claim that the earth is stalled in its orbit around the sun since 2004 is an indictment on our educational system when it is clearly obvious by a number of simple observations that it is not. The simple observation of the seasonal constellations and the retrograde motions of the planets is proof positive of our continued motion around the sun. That such simple concepts aren't grasped by everyone is a sad commentary.

Amen. When the believers and apologists talk about 'tilting' the Earth to simulate the seasons, and yet somehow get the constellations to move correctly AND have Polaris lined up I actively and reflexively cringe.

And supposedly these zetas are forbidden from interfering on earth, but they are allowed to tilt the planet to simulate the seasons and hide evidence of that thing they are here to warn us about.

Perhaps. "White" lies do have a "credibility cost" associated with them. A tradeoff is indeed acknowledged. As Clif recently said, sometimes lies are used to reveal the TRUTH.

The thing which makes that claim and many others seem credible to her followers is that Nancy "explains" it all in terms which SEEM scientific and logical to those who aren't inclined to pick it apart, and/or don't have the intellectual or educational capacity to do so. To those of us with any insight into the given subject or even into what the words mean in the English language it is pure gobblldygook, but they accept it as reasonable.

I have tried to get Nancy to say how much Earth is tilted, but it's like she inherrently knows what will blow her claims out of the water. She never would say. She would find a "report" from someone who would say that Polaris was some little bit out of place and that would suffice for her believers to think she was right about it.

It's probably the only truthful statement on the entire site, but I must say that those email servers filters certainly are working quite well.....
