Speaking of boats, last weekend I took mine out again. Now at my local ramp, you have to be very very careful at low tide, as it's a very short ramp, and the current has scoured away the sand at the end, leaving about a foot dropoff at the end of the concrete...
Now I went there dead on the ebb, and imagine my surprise when the boat lifted off the trailer with about a foot of ramp spare behind the tyres- it's almost exactly like the Eastern part of the Australian plate hasn't lifted at ALL!!!

Colour me absolutely `SHOCKED' by this discovery in complete opposition to nancys `facts'....

(and to make matters worse, after about 15km traveling purely by compass, I arrived bang smack on the reef where I wanted to go fishing to boot- It's absolutely uncanny that my compass is behaving absolutely normally...

I believe she was bandying about a 80cm or 70cm rise where I am, which would make launching my boat a bit problematic...
Knock me down with a feather if I don't seem to be seeing this rise at all

It's almost like nancy is completely wrong and planet x isn't here madly scrambling compasses, tilting the earth back and forth and causing the plates to rise and fall

(and I got a couple of lovely jewfish for my dinner to boot)
