we heard about Tesla many many years ago (he was the inventor of the first usable AC motor- that's something many of the `tesla made death rays' brigade actually don't know)

I first found out about him before the interwebs even existed- 1986- our then most popular electronics magazine ran a whole series of articles about his life, history and what he had achieved...


I bet George would be fuming in his grave at the thought of `his' refrigerators being powered by his arch nemesis's motor- yet every westinghouse fridge has a `tesla' AC motor in it...
