This may seem like a strange comment, coming from the likes of me, but... I have reason to believe that in the ultimate picture, belief may be instrumental in shaping our "reality" and experiences. That is not to say belief in easily disproven claims of physical events and data. It's more esoteric than that, and I can't thoroughly explain what I mean. I'm not really differing with what you said, in the way I think you meant it. It'about "belief" on a sort-of higher level. A spiritual level, if you will. I do tend to believe that there exists "alternate realities" and the reality we experience may be dictated by our "beliefs", in some manner.

The above is not to say that the people who believe they have physical proof of claims like those of Nancy's actually have that proof. They don't... or... if they do, I have never seen it. I have only seen obvious falsehoods, misrepresentations, etc.
