Nibiru from the Sumerian translates as "Planet of the Crossing". That could be ANY planet - Mars, Venus, the destroyed planet that is now the asteroid belt, comets, and Kuiper objects. (Jupiter and Saturn vacuumed their share of debris certainly.)

The actual truth appears to be changes to our sun caused by some kind electromagnetic differences in the region of the galaxy we are now travelling into and have been for some time now.

The concern now is the potential for a massive CME event. Current timetable 2018-2024. And that is subject to change and not etched in stone. There will be little if any additional warning beyond what we are already experiencing.
That's my current take on things.
