As to why you should listen to any specific person, I would suggest you analyze what they have to offer.

On the other hand, you have people with astronomical expertise showing you, quite explicitly, how you can know that Earth is exactly where it belongs in its normal orbit.

All I can tell you is six years have passed. "Planet X" is still a no show. Nancy said "2012 is too far out." We're getting closer and closer with each passing month...and "Planet X" is still a no show. After six years of sitting by the sun, there should have been at least one believer who could have provided verifiable evidence of its existence and put this matter to rest. And yet, none of them have. Heck, none of them have even tried.
