If you would take the time to actually read the Old Testament and know what is involved with the "budding of the fig tree" prophecy; then you would know that Israel becoming a Nation in 1948 was not the fulfillment of that prophecy.

The actual prophecy is tied in with the valley of dry bones prophecy and it is when the Jews become a "light unto the Gentile Nations" and that will not occur until the latter day rain of the Holy Spirit when Israel accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their Messiah, when you see that, then you know that summer is nigh.

A Generation is 40 years, not 70.

So, then, Old Testament Scholar, how was it said that Noah was perfect in his generation? He didn't have his first recorded child until he was how old? (crap, I momentarilyl forget.. 400 years old or was it 500 years old? somewhere areound there.) so how can it be said a generation is 40 years? It would seem if Noah was to be any example of a perfect generation it would be 400 to 500 years.

I have searched and searched and searched the Hebrew, Greek texts in all their known textual lines as well as 30 different Engilsh and a German and a French translation of the Old Testament and have never been able to find any verse nor set of verses that make the definitive statement that "a generation is 40 years"... it just is not in there.
