But it is also a time to be thankful that God lifted you of that burden, seeing as how you're not in the position to be a Mom right now. Don't be ashamed to feel that way. May the lost soul return to you when the time is right.

But it does reduce your risk of breast cancer quite a bit.

I don't "Need" anything but what you mentioned as far as the miscarriage goes. Unfortunately, my apartment was flooded a week later...when it rains it pours, right?

I'm okay physically NOW. It was pretty bad for a week though. I would think I was "done" with it physically but then I'd have bad pains and everything would start again. It doesn't help that I'm one of those people who can't stand taking medicine for anything, much less seeing a doctor.

With all the attention they did find I have a "complex ovarian cyst"...so at least that'll be getting the attention it needs now.

I honestly believe that the same sweet little spirit will try a few times to have the parents it chooses. You haven't lost him/her yet...I think that might be part of why you don't have the feeling of overwhelming loss. It's because you can feel it deep down. You know it will be okay.

Sorry for having to go through that. It is the topic that isn't talked about much, but when it comes out so does the secret club.

After having this happen with the wife a couple of times, I was surprised to find out that 1 out of 3 pregnancies end in a miscarriage.

Many times it is so early that many don't even know they are pregnant.

With that being said, if you are not ready for a child at this point in your life, you may want to get protection so you won't have to make tough decisions down the road.

So since you didn't know... did you do something that you normally shouldn't have during a pregnancy?

Oh yea...well since the Dr. I'm seeing is a fertility specialist, he's pretty concerned with the miscarriage and a few other things in my bloodwork. I have a family history of multiple miscarriages, difficulty with childbirth, cysts, etc, so he says I HAVE to go on BC pretty much. I've never wanted to bc I don't like the idea of unnatural things going on inside of me if I feel like there's a way to control it myself.

I'm so sorry about your wife. I know that can be hard having my mother and aunts go through it many times, especially if the pregnancy gets far along.

I had no idea I was even pregnant and it was very painful and draining, so I can only imagine how bad it can be with a pregnancy that's further along and/or when family and friends have had the chance to become emotionally attached to the idea of a new child entering their lives.

Unfortunately, most of the time there is no way of knowing exactly why miscarriages happen :(

I mean I did plenty of things I wouldn't do if I knew I was pregnant or was trying to become pregnant.

Drinking, baking on the beach, wrecking my muscles acting crazy on jetskis, even smoking cloves...yea, I wouldn't do that stuff.

My BF was acting like I was an egg that might break any sec when I had the miscarriage, I can't imagine how he'd be if we knew I was pregnant...
