I don't know what this information means; so it would be nice to have someone more familiar with networks and IPs to have some input.

I got a snapshot of the page that was stored on 17 Jun 2009 23:17:17 GMT. At that time there was only one counter and the page title at the time was 'Teardropk'.

I grabbed the IP and did a google search and found the first hit had some interesting topics [link to www.reddit.com]

Is that IP significant to the page or is it related to my connection? Any thoughts?

On the other hand, if I used bin to dec conversion straight up I get EOTCRSOHFF for the first 16 numbers.

Hey, how did you guys get anything from the barcode reader? I've been playing with this for hours. Here's the only thing I've found

Full code from barcode is

1000010011011110110111111110000101011110000100100010101011111111100101111000000001001111111110101010111011000010000100011111100001011010000100001110101010111111111001011110000001110011100000111010101010100000000011000111100000010110000000001010101000100111101111010111111000011100111001110111001010101000000000110001100000000101100011100010111011001111000111010101111100000011001111111110101010001000011101001101

START-A in 128 code is "11010000100"

That chops it down to this once i remove the stuff before that

11010000100001110101010111111111001011110000001110011100000111010101010100000000011000111100000010110000000001010101000100111101111010111111000011100111001110111001010101000000000110001100000000101100011100010111011001111000111010101111100000011001111111110101010001000011101001101

STOP is "11000111010"

That chops it down to this once i remove the stuff after that

11010000100001110101010111111111001011110000001110011100000111010101010100000000011000111100000010110000000001010101000100111101111010111111000011100111001110111001010101000000000110001100000000101100011100010111011001111000111010

Still that doesn't help me much, as if i try and break that down, I get

00011100010
1110110011
11000111010 STOP

doesn't work as a barcode in 128 I guess

I tried stripping out the middle part and putting it in binary to ascii, but that's no go either.

I'd wager that the XML simply shows the XY coords of the bounding rectangle of the detected barcode and the type stands for "Unknown".

Lines up nicer after cropping for end points, but still the next token "000100100" is meaningless from what i can tell, and a plain binary to ascii on the middle section is just junk

404 the page you requested does not exist

I just tried the link I posted and it is broken...but I still have the original page up from which I took the link...

The guys in the other post seem to think they have got this figured out....

I am under the impression no-one has officially solved all this yet?

If they have, I'd like to go to sleep...

I've not seen the other post I think. I've seen people posting the tom clancy game blogspot/wordpress, and claiming they solved the barcode, but they didn't give any proof, so I'm not sure if that's just another scam.

In the second part of the series, at 8:03am on June 22nd six cities, New York City, Washington DC, Toronto, Mexico City, Portland, and Los Angeles, all suffer a nuclear attack as mushroom clouds are depicted rising over the skyscrapers.

6 cities +1 failed attack = 7

Seven names from shakespear's plays?

I think the names aren't cities or people... I think their Bombs...

Either bombs, or "code names" of operational cells...
