I'm beginning to wonder if Operation Blackjack is just following the lead of the Watchmen graphic novel.
Like that superior piece of fiction, Blackjack hints at hidden secrets - not for the 'eyes of the enlightened', but just to make the series seem more intriguing and 'knowing' than it actually is...Anyone else notice (I think it was in Part 4) how 9/11 was seemingly connected to the Roswell UFO, at least by way of images placed side-by-side? The accompanying caption appeared to suggest that strange, perhaps unearthly, powers have been overseeing our welfare for decades...
I'm not being snobbish, honestly, and I know that this series has provoked a lot of intriguing research by all of us, but...I find the series to be in poor taste, really badly executed, and less than the sum of its parts. It's as if someone has read numerous GLP threads and non-MSM news stories and pasted them to blanched-out images created in MS Paint. 'Be sure to drink your Ovaltine', indeed... |
