Odd tale of bigfoot emitting heat waves

I send this story to you fourth hand, since the blogger I'm getting it from got it from a friend who heard it from another researcher, but it's so odd that I want to throw it at the wall and see if it sticks:

This fantastic bigfoot story comes from Deep Cover who got it from another bigfoot researcher who collects sightings just as I do. Here it is: A man was out in the woods when he heard heavy footsteps coming his way. He listened and watched as the steps got closer until he could see the brush moving but couldn't see anyone there. Finally, through what he described as something like heat waves, he could see the outline of a bigfoot. The creature walked right by him. You who have seen "Predator" will know what I am talking about.

We have heard tales of bigfoot going invisible, though the number of witnesses who have actually spoken to me about this is very very small. So my question is, has anyone ever heard of something like this before?

I accept that people see weird things. The world is full of anomalies. But it does seem to me that there isn't very much evidence of bigfoot going invisible, and some indirect evidence that it can't. For instance, in Dave in Kentucky's encounter, the bigfoot emerges from cover seemingly to threaten Dave into leaving. Of course, we can't really know the motive, but it would seem that the creature wanted to get to the other side of the road, feeling trapped by the fishermen in the lake and Dave. Had the creature possessed the ability to become invisible, it surely would have, rather than expose itself to the danger Dave represented, since he did have a pretty big gun in the car with him (and bigfoot should know by now that people often have guns, and guns are no fun). Indirectly, this suggests that, at least in this case, the bigfoot didn't have the ability to become invisible.

Going back to the subject of this post, the blogger offers this explanation for the invisible bigfoot:

The only story that comes close to this one is the one I related a day or so ago. That was about fifteen people on a hill in Pennsylvania who saw a UFO land and a couple of bigfoot disembark. If you can ride UFOs, you can probably make yourself almost completely invisible to humans.

This would be, I think, a reference to the Uniontown case. That case had some other odd features. The thing is, there is very little else in the way of direct evidence that bigfoot and UFOs are related, too.

UFOs are themselves one of the weird anomalies that I accept people experience, but I don't know what they are. These anomalies very sparingly touch the fringes of bigfoot research, however the main body of evidence continues to describe something that seemingly can't become invisible, and doesn't associate directly with UFOs.

The thought strikes me, putting on my speculating cap, that it could be the case that, whatever UFOs are, they might not want their association with bigfoot known and take pains to hide it.. I remember the economists who showed that bigfoot sightings and UFO sightings are correlated:

The relationship is strong and positive. States with more U.F.O. sightings also have more Bigfoot sightings. In fact, six of the top ten U.F.O. and Bigfoot states are the same: Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, Alaska, Wyoming, and Colorado. Two states, Washington and Oregon, are among both categories’ top five.

So it could be the case that there is a hidden connection.

But speculating is not much more than an entertaining exercise. We have to follow the facts, and the preponderance of them seem to point to a solid creature with its feet on the ground. Now, we also have to consider that this could be because of selection bias. If reports of bigfoot and UFOs are not collected, or are suppressed when they are collected, then of course we won't have the reports to talk about now.
