they had sample of this at my costco a few weeks ago. It actually tasted pretty good but the serving sizes are really small. Their emergency rations are based on 400 calories per day. It should be closer to 1800

Woo hoo.....Thanks, great lead!! The price is right!

[link to www.foodforhealthint.com]

This ^ is the company that makes the product...they are in Utah. Their price for the identical container is $110.00, so the Costco price is MUCH better. (Free shipping and handling, too.)

There is a good emergency kit too, on the Costco ad, for $139, it has a water purifier, crank radio, N-95 masks, tools, 90 servings of food, tarps, first aid supplies, rope, tube tent, emergency blankets, work gloves, on and on.

sweet, we both took the same math then,, i think i will just live off these buckets the rest of my life!

checking around their site, they have some pretty good deals on other emergency stuff, for people who just want something to throw in their car and not have to think about it

i unfortunately, have car loads of this shit. but i will be getting some of those food buckets to add to the stash

Damn...$84.99...that is a nice price, especially for a nice neat package like that. And 10-20 year shelf life?? Those things ought to be flying off the shelf.

Hey Malu, when you go, let us know what the availability looks like.

Re: Emergency food kit from Costco
I'm going to Costco tomorrow. I'll check it out and see how much looks to be available and if other shoppers seem to be buying it too. Would love to taste a sample of the food from it, because even though it's a good deal, if you can't eat it because it tastes yuck, then it's not such a good deal. Anyone else have any feedback on the taste of the food?

sodium content is way to high for me. But if Costco is sold out you can still get it at the Utah based company web site, so no worries.

That's what I was thinking. You buy something and it says serves 4. And when you open it up you see that it really means serves 4 midgets.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.
Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman].
STOCK UP NOW. You should have at least 6 months worth of basics for every member of your household. Stay away from crowds when trouble starts, do not forget water storage, tobacco is worth more than gold or silver, and be kind to hungry children.

You Best Wake Up For Tomorrow Comes Creepin In......:)

[link to www.youtube.com]

CREEPIN'

Hey, everybody won't you lend me your ear
There's something to fear, it's here, and that's clear.
Men gettin' rich off rapin' the land
I can't understand why we don't take them in hand.

Oh Lord, I don't want to be their fool no more.
I don't want to be their fool no more.
Open eyes, but you're sleepin'
You best wake up 'fore tomorrow comes creepin' in.
'fore tomorrow comes creepin' in.

Feel that our lives are in the hands of fools
Losin' their cool, it's us that they rule.
Too many people sittin' dead on their ass
They ain't got no class, people this time must pass.

Oh Lord, I don't want to be their fool no more.
Hey ... I don't want to be their fool no more.
Open eyes, but you're sleepin'
You best wake up 'fore tomorrow comes creepin' in.
'fore tomorrow comes creepin' in.

Oh ... yeah, tomorrow comes creepin'.

Oh ... hear me cryin' 'cause the people like me
That long to be free are not actually.
Please everybody won't you hear this song
Help a country that's wrong to someday be strong.

Oh Lord, I don't want to be their fool no more.
No! Lord, I don't want to be their fool no more.
Open eyes, but you're sleepin'
You best wake up 'fore tomorrow comes creepin'.
Creepin' ...

Creepin' ...

Tomorrow comes creepin'.

This is not a very good deal. Too small portions, and no protein to speak of. I got 200 pounds of pinto beans today for $88. Yes, two-hundred pounds. That will last a long time
