1947 just told everyone that CLOUDS DO NOT EXIST.
Because the process by which a jet engine creates a contrial that may or not persist, is EXACTLY the same principle that creates clouds.
If water vapour or dust or any disturbance is introduced to an area of saturated (or supersaturated) air, then a normal cloud will appear (or grow).
THAT'S THE BASIC, SIMPLE PRINCIPLE OF HOW CLOUDS FORM.
In the correct conditions, jet engines MUST create contrails, and if the air is supersaturated (common at the altitudes in mquestion), clouds MUST form and PERSIST.
If that basic concept isn't correct, 1947, plese elaborate and tell us where do normal clouds (esp cirrus) come from? Magic?
Seriously, this absolute NONSENSE that 'contrails do not persist', is by far the STUPIDEST, and BIGGEST mistake that the contrail snake-oil purveyors ever came up with, and it is probably the best reason of all that NO-ONE who matters will ever take up the 'chemtrail' mantra.

I could go out on a limb and try to connect Element 115 with the Air Force, Roswell and Chemtrails...lol...at least it beats people insulting each other.

The 1947 coincidence is interesting, but I've never put much cred in the Area 51 thing. My thinking is that it is of course a top secret area, but for other reasons, and the gubmint is very happy for the ufo excuse to exist as a small red fish..
I just don't get the whole "ooh, we're aliens, let's play stupid games with the Earthlings and never actually announce our presence", and the thoughg that they would cross interstellar space and then lamely crash on their detsination planet..? Yeah, right.
