That is just downright stupid. Why SHOULD you be angry at God? God does not exist. God is imaginary. That is why no one can see him. That is why you can call on him and never get an answer. So you should be angry at yourself for believing in fairy tales and myths. And if God is real, then WHO created God? If you say "God just is." I say, "Bullshit, the universe just is." You can't prove God and no one can prove God. And God is different for each person. For instance, I'll bet your God requires blood sacrifices. He probably needs you to kill some animal for him but then he sent Jesus. And now you don't need to kill any animals. He just had his own son killed for you. Or are you Muslim? Do you believe in Allah? Or are you a Mormon? Or is your God the Jehovah's Witness one?
Does your God believe once saved always saved? Does your God require baptism? Does your God practice universal salvation? Does your God require you to confess your sins to priests? Don't you see? It is all make believe. Your God is what you've been taught. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 478522
I was raised as an atheist. My brother was the first to convert to Christianity. He was kicked out the house when he was 14 because my mom found his Bible.
When I was 18 my boyfriend died in a car accident. Everyone in the car died, and I was supposed to be one of them, but at the last minute, I got called in to work and couldn't go with them. This caused me to think about everything: life, death, God, the purpose of life, why I was still alive when my friends were dead, etc. I decided I wanted to read the Bible just to see what it said, so I stole one from a dentist's office and read it.
I became a Christian at the age of 19. I got a Bible of my own, kept reading it, and kept praying. I did not set foot in a church until many years later.
Over the course of my life, I have seen 2 angels, one when I was 20 and one when I was 42. Both had messages for me, but they are private and personal messages meant for my ears alone, so I will not share them.
I have also heard the voice of God, which is very hard to explain. It is not like hearing an actual voice. Sometimes it's like a sudden, rapid download of information. Sometimes it's a gentle nudge or a strong impression or even a warning, but there is no way it's my own thoughts, because I don't think this way nor at the mega-rapid computer-like download speed these things come to me.
I have had one prophetic dream that came true a few weeks later. I had another one 2 years ago that I hope does not come true. I can also discern things about people, something I could not do before I became a Christian. It is a gift God has given me.
I have traveled a hard road, and I have grown because of it. Hardships can be blessings in disguise.
I have never been one to expect to get my way or what I want all the time, not even before I was a Christian. My parents had 7 kids. When you are from a large family, you learn at a very early age that the world does not revolve around you. So when things don't go my way, I don't get upset. |

I forgive you God for being completely invisible. There were lots of times I would have liked your magnificent company but you were nowhere to be found. I forgive you for letting little kids die of cancer or for not watching while someone rapes them or while they starve to death because they don't have good food and clean water. I forgive you for being omnipotent, omnipresent and omni-whatever but not doing one single thing to help the world. Thanks for leaving it all up to us. Starving kids, it's our fault. You would love to feed them, I'm sure, but you can't show us your face or we would all die.
I forgive you for trying really, really hard to let us know you but all you could really do was send us some old, faulty books, like the Bible and the Koran. Then we have to decide which god is the correct god but, quite honestly, we usually just pick the god from the country we grow up in. I also forgive you for creating a place called hell so you can torture people forever. I don't think I would be so cruel to torment people for even a day but you have all the power so I guess that is what you want to do. I try to worship you but it is hard, especially when I realize that I am kinder, more loving, more benevolent, more forgiving, etc., than you are. It is hard to worship someone you might look at as a monster, so I forgive you for being a monster.
So, anyway, God I forgive you for your very evident absence, and for your cruelty, and for the way you leave everything in the world up to us and will have no part in it. I forgive you for allowing wars to go on and I forgive you for letting this world seem like it is being run by nobody. I forgive you when I see that it looks like everything happens by chance. And I forgive you for putting silly stories in the Bible about miracles, like the sun standing still so some warrior could win a battle. People who use their brains to think can't buy the bull in the Bible cause the stories sound like fairy tales and fables so I forgive you for that. Gee God, if I didn't know better, I might think you were imaginary. But that can't be true because billions of Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Baptists, Catholics, etc., all believe in you. I forgive you for the fact that you never painted a very clear picture for any of us of who you are or what you want from us. So I forgive you for being a silent, completely useless God. Now please forgive me for asking questions about you.
this is the kind of cleansing confession that i was aiming for.

God does not HAVE to make up for anything. We are the ones who fall short, not Him. What He has made up for is our shortfalls by sending His son to do for us what we could never do for ourselves.
We do not get extra justice tempered by mercy for insulting God. "Forgiving" God, Who is sinless and has done no wrong, is an insult to Him. Only sinners need to be forgiven.
You are encouraging people to heap undeserved blame upon God, to hurl ignorant and errant accusations at Him, and treat Him like a common sinner. This is so wrong; I have to wonder if you are a Satanist.
I will agree with you that the poster's complaints came from the heart, the evil heart. You call the poster's jabs at God a cleansing confession, but I heard no confession at all. How is calling God a cruel, useless monster a confession?
Even the Pharisees, whom Christ condemned for their pride, did not dare say that they were better than God, which is exactly what that poster did.
I thought I had seen it all, but this is just unbelievable. Things have become so backwards, upside down, and twisted. We are truly in the last days. |

Some people are misunderstanding what I am conveying on this thread.
If you are a person who is angry about how things turned out, then one way to get at that anger so that one can release the anger, is to FORGIVE GOD for how bad things turned out. He is responsible for everything - including evil and disasters (it says so in the Bible). So it is not wrong to forgive God.
Once the person forgives God, then the anger is released, and the tears flow and the HEART is CLEANSED.

God lovers ALERT! WE NEED TO FORGIVE GOD!!
Those of us who know God intimately can FORGIVE Him on behalf of mankind for how terrible things have turned out. Also if you have any residual ANGER at God, confess it to Him directly.
The way things have turned out is horrendously BAD ( in case you have not noticed ) and that FORGIVENESS from US to HIM is important as we move into these next events. Also your anger about things not happening the way you were sure they would or should have - tell HIM, point blank about your anger so you can release it.
