Quoting: Voices For GunsTotal scam. I had a gold ring I sent them and it was clearly made out of 14K gold because it was stamped on the ring. They sent me a letter back saying it was worthless. The ring was worth at least $500 I'll never deal with those motherfuckers again. |

Wednesday User ID: 706330 United States 06/22/2009 02:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The guys are such scammers. My home was broken into once these commercials aired. Plus I imagine they are making bank and lying to people about what their gold was worth. Is there not a way to stop them?? "Child of woe is wane and delicate...sensitive and on the quiet side, she loves the picnics and outings to the underground caverns...a solemn child, prim in dress and, on the whole, pretty lost...secretive and imaginitive, poetic, seems underprivileged and given to occasional tantrums...has six toes on one foot..." AND trust them to be honest??? Ugh, I see you're not going to elaborate any further on anything other than judgments. Okay then. The amount of gold available is no longer relevant. There is not enough gold in the world (or we could never get enough anyway if there is) to back up our currency at the amounts it is now. Yes you could just make it partially backed by gold or start with a new currency...in both cases you still wouldn't need "all" the gold to do it, just base it on what you still have. ANYWAY, they wouldn't stop anybody from going on a gold standard because of the above. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 680963and one more point...the weight of a ring will amount to grams, not ounces..(most likely you won't even get ounces of gold in a bracelet or necklace)...considering there is approximately 28.35 grams in an ounce..so say a ring of gold weighs 3 grams(and that would be a good heavy ring) ..most rings weigh 2-3 grams total(and that's with the added metals to make it hard)...so when they smelt that ring...depending upon the K of gold...they may only get one gram (NOT ounce)...or about 1/28th of an ounce of pure gold...and that's worth about $33 +/- at $930 an ounce...things are not always what they seem to be...most of the time, the value of jewelry is to the person it belongs/ed to..not actual value... |
