This is what happens when you go up against the Fed. I retract my earlier disappointment about this being an affair cover story. It makes sense now. Sanford and Spitzer both go up against the Fed, and then both are forced out of politics from affairs.

They want the pattern to be obvious to make a point to anyone else who might challenge them...

I bet the reason this happened now is because of what happened with Obama last week. Not to take away from the fact that he is very wrong in this situation though.

But if his wife knew about this other woman for 5 months.... and it comes out today.... and last week was the week from hell with the president.... UGLY!
