I happen to like, admire, and respect Governor Palin
I respect my fourth grade teacher, but I'm not at all sure she's fit to run the country.
your fourth grade teacher should campaign for Governor and try running a state first. Then you will know if she is fit.
I used to live there, so I can speak from experience when I say that if you put a former beauty queen in from of a state electorate that is 86% horny, lonely men, she'll get elected even if she makes a stupid statement that "because I live near Russia, I understand Russia. And can see them out my bedroom window." Like her all you want, she invited all of the criticism she got.

And outst the bad-doers. All because she is pretty. Then that must be why Jane Swift, Olene Swift Walker, Ruth Ann Minner got elected...or maybe that premise fails, if you see their photos.
Gov Palin got elected because the majority of the electorate voted for her. Twice. Period.
