Maybe that's why in 99.9999% of the black modern music we see the same stupid people "showing up" clips with a fistful of women around them (women who can be bought, that is), crowned with gold, diamons and those stupid horrible parrot sort of clothes not because it is "art" but just another way to YELL "HEY, I'M A NEGRO WHO COULD SUCCEED, YOU KNOW, I'M NOT IN-VI-SI-BLE NO MORE, SEE?" In the same way not only they have to dress or wear heavy and huge collars to make themselves noticed but they have to WALK like a bravata oh-so-male zig zag stupid walking and wearing the cap in their particular way. It's just showing up in exterior way what they are not capable to show by intelligence. Like women who say they have been mistreated by chauvinist males but are the first so willing to undress themselves and become the harlots of the music or movies and so on.

In the past it was not so like this. Black music was a good inspiration affecting jazz and rock and roll while nowadays we have just BULLSHIT. And you know what's worst? These retarded are so ignorant they don't even know how to appreciate different kind of music, and I'm not just talking about Pink Floyd, Yes, Deep Purple,Stratovarius, Kitaro, Vangelis, Queen or the old Electric Light Orchestra, CC Revival or let's say Styx... these sort of people wouldn't ever listen to Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Carl Orf, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfang Amadeus or even amazing music from Arabian realms, Peruvian, Japanese, Chinese, Turquish and so on. Media is proud to present the same shit over and over and over ad infinitum. Hence, I set the link for the ones who still remember....

I'm well aware of the "bands" today. Some are good but are the exception which confirms the shitty general rule of thumb!

But once again, in order to comprehend THAT we need culture. Kiss was a good rock and roll band but is limited compared with Queen or Led Zeppelin because the musicians were different. Queen or Ritchi Blackmore can do classical, Kiss band couldn't. Like Dirty Harry said: a man needs to know his limitations.

If they want to inundate their culture with this crap music, gangsta & thug mentality, promote that working hard is only for whites, Mexicans, and Chinese because they are above it when they can make easy money selling drugs or their bodies on the street, tell the kids that having unprotected sex on the bathroom floor is more important than studying and getting an education, then have at it...there's always an opening at McDonald's. It's just less competition for the other kids who know how society works. Just don't come to me for a handout when the real world comes knocking.

Don't get me wrong, it's not about missing good old days because in old days we could find horrible things as well. But inspiration is lacking. In modern days I lie Wolfmother for example, you couldn't identify if they were playing Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple or Led Zep but it was a combo that was not a copy. Other groups which were not as "hard" and I don't like as much, came later on but I'm not blind nor deaf to recognize they are good in their field like Rapsody or Nightwish.... I think it's better than Abba which had beatiful songs as well. Time changed and now music is a bit like bullets coming from a machine gun or "black preaching" with hand gestures and bowing their backs. Awful!
Many female appear just to show their bottoms, that's it. People are not even hearing but watching their sex teasing.

?

It's all corporate crap now, everything is about the money only. It turned that way around the early 2000's and hasn't much improved. Now and then someone comes by with a decent track, but for the most part, it's almost all contrived, corporate product now. No longer is it about making music, it is solely about marketable image & profit. This is for all types of music BTW, not just rap. Rock has probably suffered worse than any other genre in this regard, with new bands being put together by studios all the time to cash in on the next "big thing" rather than focus on creating innovative music.

I tried watching a hip hop video once and what I saw LITERALLY almost made me hurl. I was nauseous for a while afterward. Don't even ask for details. Suffice to say I haven't even attempted to watch anymore hip hop videos.

It's true, rock has been affected and that's why I mentioned Wolfmother because until they came I thought rock dissapeared! I don't think they keep on playing though. Yet, hip hop or rap is not poetry is just black showing up or preching or codes of their street reality. No melody but the awful repetion of the same basic tones. Well, it's like trying to teach Australian aborigines about musical instruments, what did they invented BTW, a single one with a humming noise? Very primnitive, very tribal. Millenia of culture reduced to street language and jumping of "lyrics" without stop. That's not evolution but involution, evolution backwards!

That is just ignorant. There are a lot of positive messages in true hip hop, and plenty of artists trying to stay positive.

I remember my parents saying the same thing about music back in the 60's. "There used to be good music until rock and roll took over. Elvis, The Beatles, and that Jimmy Hendricks will mark the death of this society. Elvis gyrates his pelvis and The Beatles cause girls to pull out their hair and become hysterical. Jimmy Hendricks couldn't play a note on that guitar if his life depended on it and that stuff he calls music makes my hear hurt!". The more things change the more they stay the same.

When someone says "I challenge you" to follow the crap of videos, the fact THAT is called 'lyrics' doesn't turn them into lyrics. That's preaching and is the same fucking thing in every single song. That's not music but just someone messing around the "disk' back and forth and unstoppable chit chat AS USUAL Even a white fellow seems to be the "best" rapper like a mulato seems to be the best golf player. The world is upside down nowadays! Now, if the challenge is holding your breath and shooting off the mouth to the same repetitive "rythim" at nauseum is called art, well that's because you have been consuming the same retarded thing since kids. Hence when an idiot says an instrument is an instrument I think he doesn't understand what's the meaning of mastering how to play instruments beyond a basic beat. Indeed to play a violin requires much more effort than an Australian aborigen tool. And of course we could compare the difficulties to play instruments with more strings than a guitar, let's say a lyre or a mandolin and so on.
