What iron-clad proof? The maker of the video stated it was a hoax. Others who conducted the experiment didn't come up with the same results. Urban legend sites, including snopes, conducted the experiment and found nothing.
Cola has been used for a long time as marinade for pork due to the sugar and soda which makes the meat tender - and only since recently people found out about the worms?
Furthermore other raw meat contains bacteria and parasites too, e.g. chicken has salmonella (more than 50% of chicken meat is infected) and beef has good possibilities of tape worm (raw steak is one of the major causes of human's getting tape worms) while Mad Cow Disease is linked with Alzheimer's disease.
Don't get me wrong, I do not intend to propagate pork meat but the hysteria and people founding their religious beliefs on this hoax is ridiculous.

Care to put video of your experiment? Curious how you know what you have seen are indeed worms? People who have been using Cola as marinade for years state it's fat that is coming out of the meat due to the soda.

Only two people on this site who supposedly have conducted the experiment believe to have seen worm(s) - you explicitly stated you saw them move. However non of you can produce any evidence. Let's not forget that hoaxes are created periodically on GLP and one mod even faked her own death. |

Put a piece of bacon in a jar and cover it so nothing can get inside. Sit the jar aside and the worms will come in a couple of days. You don't need coke for this "back in the day" science project. It doesn't have to be bacon. Any piece of pork will get you the same results. |
