So wonderin if anyone here has been involed in using K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm and what did you use it on.

Cuz some folks are about to apply it to music both digital and then physical music.

Just a bit of a revozlution.

Kohonen Neural Network Self Organizing Nnets, yes, have been familiar with them for over a decade and their potentials for coming up with new innovations in music, but indeed lack creativity, as they can only organize what has already been done and recycle pieces in innovative ways.

Fractual music generation is another approach, there once was an old Fractual Music Generation program called "Gingerbread. I am not sure if it is available online anymore. I have however noticed an increase in the amount of what to me is obviously fractual generated music in some commercials.

Back in the mid 90's there was a fellow whose name and associations totally escape me now, that did a thing with Kohonen Neural Networks in writing computer generated Blues and Jazz tunes.

I have really dropped off from my own nnet studies as things just got too involved programming wise and the constant nearly weekly updating to many pieces of software makes it pure hell for a single programmer to actually write good code in any reasonable time without its being obsoleted by the next programming lanuage or OS upgrade.

Sometimes change is a good thing, sometimes it takes a period of technological stablity to allow for things to settle down so that good solid advancements can be made on firmer grounds.
