I am not one given to belief in dreams becoming reality, and I am certainly no prophet, but last night I had a terrible dream of ferocious realism and detail.

October 23, 2009 was the date on my calendar. I was watching myself watch the news. There was an "emergency" with breaking news. The woman anchor repeatedly kept holding her ear and commenting "oh no"

They cut from her to a reporter in a torrential downpour. He was in Times Square. A Cat 5 storm was making landfall just south of manhattan.

I have vivid 'end of the world' dreams almost every night, but I have never had a date pop out in one.

The storm surge flooded the east coast for miles. Water was way up on the buildings all over New York

This kinda reminds me of the movie "Knowing". Towards the end, it is October 19th 2009, and a woman newscaster talks about the fall of the dollar and then cuts into an emergency broadcast of the impending doom.

A couple few years ago I kept dreaming the date 7-22, man, when that date rolled around I was nervous, nothing happened that I saw, but the date still catches my attention when I see it.

my recurring is after some sort of earthquake or natural disaster...my house is severely damaged, but intact, and we have sequested into one of the rooms that we can seal off with plastic sheeting.
It's COLD in the dream and we are struggling to keep warm...
I've had that one a few times...
and several times in the dream, I have to slip out and deal with intruders and people coming into my house looking for things to eat...
compost bins get pretty full from all the additional nitrogen at the bottom of the pile...
and it's COLD

There's no real indication of what happened in my dream. The weather seems normal and crops and livestock are thriving, but there's no electricity.

Based on an EMP weapon taking down the power grid, albeit that's extremely unlikely.
