Further to the post I made earlier regarding reports from Argentina of emergency rooms at the point of "collapse", hospitals in different areas being overcrowded with infected, ventilators being in short supply, schools being closed, massive underreporting of infections and deaths, and illness developing at an incredibly quick rate;
NEW SYMPTOMS OF H1N1 BEING SEEN IN ARGENTINA!
"The director of the hospital Malvinas Argentinas, Graciela Bonfigli, has told C5N that patients are now in serious condition suffering from acute renal failure and hematologic disorders.
Graciela Bonfigli, director of the Hospital Malvinas Argentinas, instead aiming only to patients who have the virus AH1N1 spoke exclusively with C5N and explained that, in very serious cases, two new symptoms are presenting in patients.
The first is acute renal failure, which has to be treated with dialysis.
The second is the occurrence of hematological abnormalities, such as when blood clots form throughout the body.
Furthermore argued that if patients have no prior history, they are generally healthy adults who have a fall with pneumonia and respiratory failure."

We have barely seen Chapter 1, yet most people seem to think its gone away. |

Argentine health minister resigns in frustration
1 day ago
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Argentina's health minister has resigned despite the growing swine flu epidemic, reportedly after failing to persuade the government to declare a health emergency.
Graciela Ocana also failed to persuade President Cristina Fernandez to declare an emergency over the spread of dengue fever this year, and lost battles with unions for control of social funds.
The two diseases have exposed shortcomings in Argentina's public health system. Twenty-six people have died from swine flu, the most in South America.
The president's cabinet chief refused to explain why the minister quit Monday. But La Nacion newspaper reports that she was frustrated by a lack of support from Fernandez and waited until after Sunday's elections to quit to avoid disrupting the campaigns. |

Swine Flu: The City of Buenos Aires declared sanitary emergency
[link to momento24.com]
Mauricio Macri, Buenos Aires city major, decreed this afternoon the sanitary emergency in the City due to the advance of swine flu.
The city major prompted the population this afternoon to “stay calm and observe hygienic preventive measures” to slow down the progression of swine flu.
He also confirmed that classes will be suspended starting Monday July 6 until August 3 and requested those with virus symptoms remain in their homes.
These measures will increase the winter holidays period at all schools, which will last four weeks. Both the Health Minister, Jorge Lemus, and the Education, Minister Mariano Narodowski, explained that this is by no means a holiday as kids should stay in their homes

Not a single word... Nothing, as if it never started from there.
According to you, the flu is increasing all over the world. That means 100% of all mexicans must be infected and yet they seem to be going about their daily work and none have been infected. Not a single news outlet has told us anymore about Mexico?
WHY? |

That is because the government did not fall for the crap USA was feeding the minester.
He was employed by the CIA to bring fear to Argantina and force the government in to a panic. Just like Iran, it has not worked. It worked in Mexico but other latin American nation have woken up and do not buy this crap any more.
Have you noticed no more news about Mexico? |

No wonder, Tamiflu which is just an anti-inflammatory really, has been over prescribed. So naturally it's effectiveness which eventually run its course. |

There were three thousand unreported deaths in Mexico. The H1N1 virus broke out when the temperatures at night in Mexico City were in the Thirties. Initially they did not know what they had and were reporting it as pneumonia. Only when they realized that they were in a local epidemic did they start using the microscopes. THEN they knew it was a new virus.
That discovery was made about the same time that a kid tested positive in San Diego and two kids tested positive in Texas and then one more in Calexico/Mexicali region. All were along the border and that indicated that H1N1 was already reaching the US border. But here and in most of Mexico it was already a warm spring and people did not develop the pneumonia that readily.
It is winter in Argentina, COLD and Flu Season. We are seeing there in their initial outbreak what we will see in the US and Canada come November. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 690481 6/30/2009 8:10 PM | | Re: H1N1 in Argentina - PAY DAMN ATTENTION FOOLS! | Quote | I helped care for one of the early H1N1 deaths in the U.S. and have seen a number of other cases. The Medical people that I know felt this flu was a non-issue. No different that the others. My only question is/was what were they not reporting on while they chased this stupid story.
HOWEVER,
The Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918 affected the HEALTHIEST most. Equal numbers of those with very strong immune systems died as did the immuno-compromised. A "cytkine storm" was what made it so deadly and the BEST immune symptoms were more at risk of these out of control storms.
The Spanish Flu was far different than the common yearly flues in that it took on a HEMORRHAGIC FEVER like presentation. People were bleeding from their nose, coughing blood, vomiting blood and rectally bleeding. Post Mortem's showed the victims were bleeding from all their organs... brain too if I remember right.
Seizing bleeding from every orifice, out of control fevers, and really bad pneumonia. Flood the system with a lot of those kinds of patients and the Health care system, even in America, would be majorly stressed. There may not be enough ventilators, so triaging "out" the marginal cases may be required.
Something to watch. |
