The United States Military: Banning The Gospel Of Jesus Christ And Openly Burning Bibles
Did you know that the U.S. military forbids active duty troops from sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ? Did you know that the U.S. military has admittedly burned Bibles? The truth is that the United States is increasingly becoming an openly anti-Christian institution, and that should be of great concern for all of us.

Most American Christians are totally shocked when they learn that active duty troops in Afghanistan and Iraq are absolutely banned from sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone. U.S. Central Command's "General Order Number One" absolutely forbids any active duty troops from trying to convert people to any religion.

That means that all of those Muslims that the U.S. military is "liberating" are absolutely prohibited from hearing about Jesus Christ from the people who are supposed to be helping them.

But not only that, the U.S. military has also admittedly burned Bibles.

That's right.

Stacks of Bibles that were printed in the two most common Afghan languages and that had been sent to Afghanistan were burned by the U.S. military because there was fear that they would get off the base and ultimately convert some of the Afghans.

Oh, the horror!

What hope are we bringing to these people if we forbid the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ?

How about freedom from all violent, false-god religions?? How refreshing THAT would be!

can you bring "stacks of bibles" to your job?

it's military and it's a job.

Dude, if the military were allowed to evangelize, we would lose all credibility when we say that we're not at war with Islam.
It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out.

The military should stay out of religion. Servicemen do not have the right to proseltyze for a particular religion nor to campaign for a specific political party. When you sign up, you lose certain rights.

If they want to "share" the bs of their religion, let them do it on their on time and not as a representative of the US military.

What better way to piss off people than to tell them their religion is wrong?

Not spreading Jesus to Muslims?

Are you retarded? Muslims don't care about jesus and never will, they shouldn't have to either. Stop trying to convert people its personal choice.

Separation of Church and State is in a place for a reason, hell you shouldn't be allowed to talk about it unless your off-duty.

Re: The United States Military: Banning The Gospel Of Jesus Christ And Openly Burning Bibles
I am hoping every one will see the true light and I am hoping to find other ways to get the true word out to them. Some people are getting balloons and tying Bibles to them and sending them into countries that ban them. It takes us to make a difference and not just online. We need to help get the word out to the people suffering without Yahshua (Jesus) overseas and here in the United States. We need to pray everyday and listen to Gods voice.

We need to be fishers of men. A true fisherman has a hard job. He eats and sleeps in his tiny boat day in and day out. Sometimes the fish are big and hard to pull in other times they are easy. He gets wet, sticky, stinky, tired, and cold. He gets salt in his mouth, hair and all over his body. The wind goes in his eyes (as does the salt). Sometimes he reels in a fish and it's good to eat. Other times he reels in a fish and it is something new, foreign, unusual. He has to go research this fish. Is it good to eat? Is it safe or poisonous? Sometimes he says after much research and much distance "yes, it is safe." Other times he says "No!" and throws it back into the water! A true fisherman is tired by the end of the day and awaits sleep but does not quit working for the day until their work is done. If they are an apprentice they do not go to sleep until their master tells them to. Nor do they do anything else besides their work until told otherwise by their master. It is the master and him on the boat.

God tells us to be fishers of men. We do not realize how hard we truely have to work. We have to put up with the waves, the salt, the strange people and the people willing to accept Gods word. We leave the people that don't accept it and we throw them back. "If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them." We work hard each and every day. We get up at the break of dawn and don't quit until the job is done!!! We listen to God and go and do whatever he tells us! It doesn't matter where he takes you, what conditions the weather is in or the people around you, how tired you are...no matter what you still do it. It is all of our jobs and it's not just a walk in the park and fishing in a small pond. The boat will rock, tip, and get drenched but God will protect you and preserve your soul.
