I remember for the last couple of years there were things that impacted the sun . You could se them coming in on the C2-C3s..Sungrazers I think they called them..
Kent Steadman had/has many of these on his site -to bad he passed ...

So no this can not be Mercury .As it is not supposed to be entering into view for a few more days. This is moving in from the same general direction as Comet C/2009 G1 did
And that comet Comet C/2009 in the below video passed much more north then this one

This object is Not Mercury though Mercury is expected around the 6th and will also be moving in retrograde . This is either a large unknown comet or asteroid and it is at an angle that it could hit the Sun
At this time the course of this object will pass dangerously close to or will actually hit the Sun around the equator
How do you know?
What is the offical NASA comment on this "object"?

This object is Not Mercury though Mercury is expected around the 6th and will also be moving in retrograde . This is either a large unknown comet or asteroid and it is at an angle that it could hit the Sun

Look at the latest image. Doom cancelled! It apears to be some kinda reflection. The object is part of a circular reflection that goes all the way around the sun. Nothing more to see here. Move along
