Unknown object quickly approaching the Sun

I have a Physics degree. And let me tell all those who think this is Mercury are completely out of their minds.
First of all, this object is huge; and seems to be the size of Earth if not larger.
Secondly, if you see the "animation" of this moving towards the sun, you would realize that this object has so far been moving with constant velocity. If it was Mercury it should have immediately changed speed (observable difference) as soon as it moved "around" the Sun. In fact, even if you calculate the speed of this object and estimate the time it would take to move to the other extreme of the orbit (that is on the left of the Sun), you would realize that this object is moving much faster and doesn't seem to correlate with the Time Period of Mercury's revolution around the Sun.
Thirdly, if you observe the object closely you would see its luminosity being erratic and it has a kind of "aura" (of light) around it that constantly keeps on change around it. This can't be Mercury.
This can't be a Planet. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 688092
I respect your degree, and I believe that there are objects of grave concern approaching us.
That said, I also believe what the late Father Malachi Martin stated, around April 21, 1998 on "whats approaching us", in five (5) to ten (10) years and what the Vatican knows is true, via their observatory on Mt. Graham.
Though it`s late on arrival.
Father Malachi Martin also reiterated this fact at least three times, that I`m aware of, in his book "Windswept House".......where the human demonic powers that have infiltrated the Roman Catholic Church realize that they have five (5) to eight(8) years for their final assault on humanity. In order to usher in the New World Order......and ASCENT OF THEIR PRINCE!
They have a timetable.......according to biblical prophecy it must happen.
However, my personal take on this threads unfolding drama and after going over Stellarium and the data presented, I believe it is Mercury.
In any case.....IT HAS TO HAPPEN!

Just playing around with the simulator and March the 20th Mercury was in a similar position it is now. If anyone can find the Stereo-B images from that date you can double check whether is Mercury or something else.
Ok, that does me, I am convinced now, going to bed...........

back then the object far more consistent in shape no?
it s weird the sensors are not reacting in the same way this time... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 713759
It does look more consistent. Also smaller and FASTER. Those pics in that gallery are for one day, look how much it moved in that one day. In those pics, it probably only took another day or so to pass behind the sun and disappear. |

No its not Mercury..
Mercury is still far from sun and we expect to see him on soho the next days
The object on stereo its supposed behind the sun
so we cant see it from earth
If that object that's moving toward the sun is on the opposite side of the sun from the earth, then that means that if it passes through the sun it will be heading toward us. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 717207
It occurs to me after posting the above that, even if the object were to pass through the sun and head toward our planet's present position, by the time the object passes through the sun the earth will have moved in it's orbit to another position, and so will no longer be in a direct line with the "object". So there would be no threat of a collision between earth and the object. |

Many of us don't have physics degrees, but we watch the skies enough to be able to make sense out of some things and know enough from experience as to what should be questioned.
Thank you for verification of our combined observations. |

wow. isn't this thing moving a little fast to be mercury? or is it really? come on fellas, a couple of you are usually all over this. mercury not supposed to be visible for a couple more days? could the stereo recievers have moved since the calculation of mercurys arrival was forecast? i mean, a couple tens of thousands of kilometers could put it off by a couple days non? it's mercury. seriously. if something was this far off...there would already be pictures of it. there are a few amatuer astronomers that frequent this site, and i'm sure that if something was effed then we would know about it. is this whole debacle going to start over when mercury moves into the other fields of view? |

Hmm, from the point of the camera on the satalite, it could appear to be moving either counter clockwise or clockwise depending on its movement at any given time.
If I had the time to do an animation to show you I would, but at work at the moment. But because the image is only 2d if mercury was to move in front of the sun it would go one way, but on the opposite side of its orbit, as it moves behind the sun it would appear to be traveling in the opposit direction...
Basic observational science to do with planetary movements viewed from a position futher from the sun than the planet itself can explain the movement either to the left or the right of the stereo screen... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 717333 7/3/2009 12:55 PM | | Re: Unknown object quickly approaching the Sun | Quote | I dunno about y'all here, but I still feel this is not a coincidence that this unknown object is on its way to hitting the Sun on a timetable that is in accordance with the predicted CME on July 7th. Looking at the most recent animation of the object's progression, it looks like the SUn is already getting 'aggravated' of its proximity by shooting some plasma out in its direction.
So, looks like this object will hit the sun shortly after the turn of the clock on July 4th. Fireworks anyone? |

correct
just a difference in which part of the orbit we are viewing. with mercury and venus, we get to see it go both ways. all others only behind, counterclockwise.
this could just be a misunderstanding, miscalculation on the part of whoever you guys got that estimated time of viewing for mercury. the fact that it is so close to date, should be enough for you guys. also how slow it is going. just like how first someone was asking if it was moving the speed of light, in time you will see. mercury just on his way through our line of sight. even if not, it wouldn't be the first time the sun swallowed something, and by the looks of it, whatever was ejected would be done so on the opposite side of our orbit, unless it hits on what we see as the western side and spins around just in time. otherwise it's just snack time for the sun
more than likely, it's mercury. who claimed it to be unknown in the first place? |

i got to mention this lucid dream i had maybe 6-7 yrs ago..it all happened so quick. i was outside staring at what seemed the moon, there was somebody next to me but cannot recollect who it was, anyway i remember saying to myself " the moon seems very large today " and as i said that another object came into view which was the same shape and size as the moon right next to the moon and it zoomed in towards me within a split second then i awoke..i never forgot that dream vivid as though it was an event.. not trying to scaremonger just passing on what maybe a future event or a previous life experience.. i dont know ..also i remember being in an underground facility in another dream around 30 yrs ago trying to escape to normality . i remember there were guards at every corner of the roads with suits and masks, i tried to climb out over the gate , but i could only view the chimneys and partial buildings. i remember my parents being in the facility ,and i cried for them to be released but to no avail.Just dreams i guess

Insane, I had 2 lucid dreams last night that were both super intense, one I realized I was dreaming and sat there told myself to wake up and fall back into the same dream, I did it...easily, the other dream I can not remember but when I woke up I felt completely re-energized, I had 2 hours of sleep last night.. As well I awoke to my facebook today to have 3 friends leave me messages about their CRAZY dreams and how I was in it. Strangely I have the knowledge about CME/Crazy dream correlation and have told them about it and told them to look it up. Something is coming. Quoting: noKnothing~
