Unknown object quickly approaching the Sun

Stop speculating about Mercury, you can clearly see that it is not mercury, especially since the twin brothers are showing up
Nostradamus has made a prophecy about this that the comets will approach from behind the sun. |

It is very interesting though, and in contrary to what many of you believe if it was something of real concern it would be at least been mentioned in the media..right? |

IF this object IS in a direct collision course with the Sun, what exactly will happen? What is NASA hiding here?
I just wonder if it has anything to do with the warnings we have been getting from modern day prophets of God such as this one:
[ link to www.prourladyofemmitsburg.org]
"PREPARE - We believe our Lady (Mary mother of Christ) is guiding all to now prepare for the days ahead, warning us to stock our souls and shelves with the necessary provisions."

I notice you and I are doing the same things, trying to get the truth out there for those to piece together. If you don't mind me mentioning this, please search my moniker here and read some of the messages and revelations given to me. Some are so obvious that it is crazy. Do you have an email? I would love to share infomation that so many here make fun of. Hugs! Quoting: Angel Helper
Okie dokie I will try to email you through this site.
As to this object heading at the sun who knows what it is and what it will do IF it hits the sun. Probably nothing, but again who knows. |

RedBull User ID: 608327 7/3/2009 4:12 PM | | Re: Unknown object quickly approaching the Sun | Quote | Okay again for those just tuning into this thing and those to who are worried: If it's mercury fine it will pass, hard to tell in 2D imaging, if it's a comet or 2 or whatever and it "hits" the sun...guess what nothing will happen. Comets are made of gas, ice, dirt, rock, metal, etc...the comets, if that is what they are, won't get past the suns corona-too damn hot, the comets will disintegrate...Okay let's say they do hit what will happen, easy..one big ass solar ejection.
Again here's some scenarios for you all like I said before. It will either pass or be engulfed by the sun..regardless which one, everything will be fine. Tomorrow will still be here in time for the fireworks. I hope this helps some of you who think the frickin world is going to end. |

This is indeed very interesting. |

Ok, now that sounds logical! So if this is correct, then we should see it appear soon in the in the ahead camera, right?
Watch SOHO first, then Ahead afterwards.
At the moment, Mercury is opposite Behind. As it circles the Sun, soon it will find itself opposite Earth and SOHO, and after than it will come opposite Ahead.
Running the forecast in Celestia, it looks like it won't be so perfect an alignment for SOHO and Ahead. Mercury will seem to pass above the Sun. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 660262
I believe Mercury is currently in its ascending node but the object shown in the animated gifs posted earlier appears to be traveling parallel to the ecliptic.
Anyone got an updated animated gif to confirm/deny?

Absolutely not. There is NO WAY they would report on something that might be disasterous for mankind.
The reason? 'MIGHT'.
If they report on it and panic starts, the governments will have a huge situation to deal with. Riots, unrest, civil disorder. They don't like this. They want us all to go back to sleep and pay our taxes.
IF it does wipe us all out, nothing lost really.
Worst decision would be to let people know the risk. |

Looks like Mercury would be either behind the Sun or above it by now.

There are 1000's of amature astronomers all over the world watching the sky 24/7. 80% of all objects in the sky are found/discovered by these amature astronomers who are not in anyway connected or linked to Governments or NASA. Now these are simple and solid facts. If any of you kids on this forum pay attention to these facts then you'd know that if there was any thing at all, these guys would be reporting it independently but all at the same time from every corner of the world. Impossible for any nation or government to stop.
Now i know you all want to play the doom game but do you have to pretend to be so stupid? |

WHAT IS WRONG W/YALL!!!!!!????
Dont yall read the replies?
I even made a thread about what the object is,its iris7 a assteroid, plain and simple
its all right here
Have a lookie at this, its an ass tur oid
Known as iris7
Its looks like its this object thats in the graph in this link>> [link to www.rasnz.org.nz]
Iris at Opposition in 2009
Iris will be in Sagittarius when it brightens to magnitude 9.5 early in June 2009. It is at opposition on July 4 with a magnitude 8.7. After opposition it fades again back to 9.5 in mid August.
The distance of Iris from the Sun varies between 1.833 and 2.937 AU, so that at the most favourable oppositions the asteroid is about 0.83 AU from the Earth. At the 2009 opposition the distance of Iris from the Sun is 2.58 AU and 1.56 AU from the Earth. So the 2009 opposition is an average sort of affair.
At the poorest oppositions, eg in May 2012, Iris' brightest magnitude is 9.5. At the best oppositions it can be as bright as 6.7. No such opposition will occur in the near future.
Iris's diameter is 200 km. Its orbital period is 3.68 years, the orbit being inclined at 5.527° to the ecliptic.
Iris was discovered in 1847 on August 13 by J R Hinds in London. This was his first asteroid discovery |

imo, you have way too much faith that the news media would report on something they were told not to. IF some bad shit were in the pipeline they would be given orders not to air a peep and they would follow orders or else. |
