I might throw in that about 2003, when GOES pics were being shown ( Then they shut it down ), I actually counted in HALF the field about 100 cubes and rectangular objects in THAT particular section of the sky that were ABOVE the clouds floating over the Earth.
Another person, using the KNOWN height of GOES, the height of the cloud cover, estimated that from the size of those objects on the screen, they were from 1 1/2 to 3 MILES long on a side. NO ONE ever explained these objects in orbit about the Earth, OR just what their purpose could be. NOT even Kent!
I was facinated by the LACK of ANY concern by NASA, who could clearly see these objects

Okay, sorry I've been away from the thread all day.
I got an email back from Joe Gurman at NASA regarding how to access the original, non-compressed images from STEREO. Here is his email, for those interested in getting more involved:
"Normally we have an "image tool" that allows access to images from the full-resolution data, at:
but we're having some issues with our Webserver and it may be a week or more before that's up again. (It usually takes 3 days or so after the images are taken before we get the full-res versions in.)
The raw data, in a standard astronomical format called FITS, are available at:
(with subdirectories "a" and "b" for the two spacecraft), but I have to admit that's not much help for the non-scientist user. Even if you have a FITS viewer such as FITSview:
there are a number of software steps between the raw images in the SECCHI FITS files and the EUVI, COR1, COR2, and HI images you see on the Website. Because of its widespread uptake in our scientific community, we do those steps in a proprietary (and fairly expensive)language called IDL, from ITT Visual Solutions (ittvis.com). A student
edition is considerably less expensive.

I've checked the images of Mercury on STEREO Behind COR2 for March/19 and 20 and observed that the speed of Mercury on those pictures is half of the speed of the object that we're analyzing on this thread.
... in those pictures Mercury is transiting from left to right and therefore is closer to the satellite and Earth than it is now, then I'd expect it's angular movement to be faster then than now, but it's twice slower.
Also the form of the planet in the March-19-20 pictures is quite stable and well defined, egg shaped, while in the present thread pictures it changes drastically almost from one picture to the next.
All these aspects seem to be contradictory, don't you think?
If this was Mercury, when do we wait him to reappear, in which image or images and from what direction?

Things still seem fishy here because the dots are not connecting as easily as they should, for an object as well known as Mercury is supposed to be.
I'm looking for other images from previous sequences of COR1 and COR2 to compare with the present ones to see if they bring some enlightenment on this puzzle.
I am going through all of the fts files for the 2nd. They seem to use a different naming scheme, so it's hard to match one to an image. There are a couple times on the 2nd it appeared to split apart, so if it's there, I'll find it eventually.

Kinda sucks that we seem to be the only people who care. This has been a legitimate DOOM scenario for more than 24 hours.
Nasa has been less than helpful. (MAJOR understatement)
