Hi, my hubby gets Social Security Retirement benefits, (not enought though) (will end up working till the day he dies....shame) anyway, Retirement benefits for us is 3rd Wed. of month. Looks like retirement benefits are paid on Wed. depending on your birthdate.

Never again will I go to Wal-Mart... or any grocery store, for that matter... on the first day of the month.

The crammed aisles, backed-up lines and numerous crying babies is enough to drive one insane, I tell you.

Welfare checks come that day, among other types of public assistance.

I used to avoid going to a grocery store across the street for lunch on the 1st because social security checks came in and they'd bus in the old folks. No getting in and out quickly with those obstacles.

SS doesn't hit until the THIRD of the month...

I'm positive, however, that SS and Disability are both handled through the actual Social Security Administration... and Disability checks come in on the first, I believe.
