"There was no immediate word as to why she will step down before the end of her first term, though some have speculated in the past that she may be interested in running for president in 2012."
So, who'd vote for someone who quit before the end of a first term? Huh? no takers?
She can put quitter on her long (snicker) resume.

um, obama quit the senate in his first term to run for president, dimwit
Not quite the same thing but nice try...
it is the same thing, senate terms are 6 years, if palin runs for president in 2012 then she would serve 2/3 of her senate term if elected in the next couple of months. Obama served 45 months of his term campaigning for HALF of that. So don't sit there and tell me its not the same thing with a condecending tone you idiot
Senators dont govern their state you IDIOT..
i thought it was implied that she obviously resigned as governer to pursue a seat in the senate. If thats all you can do is look over my posts and dissect small flaws, then you are clearly losing this debate
She isn't running for the senate.. mark my words.. that would be a step down in political terms..

Anonymous Coward User ID: 708827 7/3/2009 4:50 PM | | Re: Sarah Palin to resign as Alaska governor | Quote | MSNBC: "Governor Palin was questioned about her reasons for stepping down from her elected position.
Palin explained, 'I hear due to all of this gosh-darned global warming stuff the permafrost is agonna' melt. This means Alaska will sink inna them deep waters off the coast that I can see out my kitchen win-der and everyone's gonna drown, don't cha know.
Todd and I are agonna' load up the trucks and high-tail it for the lower 48 and hope we don't get there in time for a good nukin'.'
When it was explained to Governor Palin even if the permafrost melted, it would not result in Alaska sinking into the Bering sea. She claimed this had not been verified.
'We have someone who pals around with a known terrorist in the White House, don't cha know. You think I'm gonna believe anything there gonna' tell me? I'm a maverick, and I think at a time like this...what would John McCain do? So I packed up the household and kids and Todd and we're a headin' south. They're not agonna drown me and keep me from arunnin' in 2010.'
When MSNBC explained the next Presidential election was actually in 2012, not 2010, Palin commented 'Oh, that's just some more of them dirty Democrat tricks, don't cha know. I'll be ready for them next year, yes indeedy!'
MSNBC will continue to follow this story for updates." |

um, obama quit the senate in his first term to run for president, dimwit
And you voted for him?
hell no, it wasn't until he won the primaries that i started doing some digging and found he was going to be a very bad president. If something about palin come to light that shows she is not that good of a candidate, i will gladly tell you all that i was wrong, but she hasn't done anything yet to warrant negative reviews
Okay.
wait and see..
I can do that.
Wait and see? by that statement alone you admit that she hasn't done anything YET that you consider to be shameful or you would have posted it to me. So if she didn't do anything YOU deem shameful, than why do YOU have such disdain for her. Hmmmmm, smell a sheep. once again, make up your own mind please, following propaganda is what led to obama and pelosi getting as far as they have with their radical ideas. come on now.
You missed the sarcasm in the wait and see (but the Internet does that). I never said she did anything shameful. I even think the whole clothing buying scandal was a set up. And, the whole teen, shot-gun wedding idea was understandable for someone in her position. But, the ethics thing worries me a little. Still, it boils down to this; I can't stand the self- righteous attitude. Don't force your religious moral values on everyone else (even if I agree with them, I still think separation of church and state is important).
I see Russia is going to let US fly over...wait, where was Sarah in all this? Packing her bags.
And for the record. I thought both Palin and Obama lacked experience. I never once said he was better than her...you brought him up. Quoting: Um, Huh?
fair enough, that was my bad, i assumed because you had a problem with palin you were battin for the other team, my apologies. "Im intolerant to your intolerance" |
