Because when the Feds "give" money to the states, they do it with all kinds of strings attached that leave the staes indebted to the Federal Government.
Taking federal money weakens the states and (further) empowers the Federal government.
A lot of these Republican governors are pissing the Feds off mightily by doing things that could strengthen states rights and autonomy.
Obama's whole raison d'etre is to strengthen the Feds and weaken the states. So these Governors are pissing him off mightily, and, spoiled baby that he is, he's GOT TO HAVE HIS WAY AND HE'S GOT HAVE IT NOW!!! IMO, of course. |

A few days before he hit the national news for the first time, he hit the Financial News (Bloomberg, et al) with this for a headline:
"Illinois Governor Says Bank of America no longer Permitted to make loans in Illinois" , or something to that effect.
Pretty ballsy. So I knew he was going to be a goner if he pursued that at all. Which apparently, he did. |

The way I see this country heading I wouldn't be surprised one bit. President Obama has the sheeple liberized since they are hypnotized.
