i remember some B scifi movie back in the 80s? about a mad scientist that developed a machine that enabled your pineal and was able to see all kinds of monsters from the id monster and such..the creatures are swimming around us in another dimension or some such..freaky to say the least.

also the monsters liked to eat the brains of those in the throws of passion..ie. orgasms.

anyone remember the title or saw it?

Yes, I remember seeing that. Had to look it up on imdb.com to get the title though. It was "From Beyond", released in 1986. See [link to www.imdb.com]

Scientists create a resonator to stimulate the pineal gland (sixth sense), and open up a door to a parallel (and hostile) universe. Based on a story by H. P. Lovecraft.

Summary written by Ed Sutton {[email protected]}

Doctor Pretorius and his colleague work on a sensational experiment: by means of stimulation if the pineal gland they want to open mind for higher dimensions. When the experiment succeeds, they are immediately attacked by terrible life forms, who seem to be floating around us all the time. When Pretorius is killed by one of them, Dr. Tillinghast is under suspect and thrown into psychatry due to his stories. Only the ambitious psychologist Dr. McMichaels believes him and wants to continue the experiment.

ahh, the pineal gland

now there´s an interesting topic

that famous gland that calcifies with certain chemicals such as flouride

"Make sure to brush your teeth twice a day kiddies! and mke sure you get that flouride treatment, or your teeth will rot and fall out!

He who believe in me shall have everlasting life.

This means things are infinite.

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on heaven as in earth. Why are we asked to pray if not a coming reality? It is coming?

Plan 9? Ah, yes. Plan 9 deals with the resurrection of the dead. Long distance electrodes shot into the pineal and pituitary gland of the recently deceased.

Re: "Third Eye", Pineal gland and magnets experiment
I´m the OP.

The idea here is to use one of those small neodynimum magnets off eBay, perhaps a cylindrical one, and tape it to the head band (sweat band, whatever you want to call it) or even use a band-aid to fasten it to the proper location on the forehead.
As the original article states, the exposure would be 10-30 min a day for a few weeks so you wouldn´t go into public like this, and you can do other things while you have the magnet on (we don´t want the magnet portruding from the forehead like Walter Rawls had it, so we´ll use a small but powerful neodynium one).

Another poster mentions Flouride that calcifies the Pineal glad, and I have given thought to this in the past as well. If the Pineal gland is connected in some way to the higher dimensions and consciousness, then TBTB who are putting Flouride into food and water want to prevent us from having these abilities.
Yet another reason to boycott Flouride and try stimulating a Pineal gland through artificial means (natural mean would be deep meditation for many years but who has time for that, we want fast results :) )

AC 12:01--

The movie you´re thinking of is called "From Beyond." It´s loosely based on a H. P. Lovecraft horror story, where a mad scientist uses a machine to electromagnetically stimulate the pineal gland. The moral of the story is "don´t try this at home."

TPTB use the movie industry to tell truths, but they couch it in the parameters of "science fiction," so that you won´t believe it.

It´s a little game they play. They´ve "gotta tell" and they delight in putting the truth right under our noses, but in a way we´d never believe it.

The pineal will open naturally to beautiful worlds/dimensions with spiritual practice. If you open it prematurely you´re gonna get to see the world you´ve got yourself in this moment. Better to wait till you raise your frequency.

Several years ago I met a girl who was experimenting with shell headbands ment to be placed directly over the third eye. She tried various types of shells and spirals and found interesting effects. I tried it briefly myself - holding a spiral shell to my forehead - immediate results of unknown sensations. After reading this thread, I think I´m going to experiment further.

Re: "Third Eye", Pineal gland and magnets experiment
Um. I googled magnets and pineal gland and it seems to have a whole host of physical properties. Anyone try or know of any of this uses.

TREATING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WITH EMF
There is no known medical cure for multiple sclerosis (MS), but a promising alternative approach has been developed using electromagnetic fields (EMFs) to treat the pineal gland.

Studies have found evidence suggesting that there is a connection between multiple sclerosis and dysfunction of the pineal gland:

During relapses, MS patients have abnormally low nighttime blood levels of melatonin, a hormone produced by the pineal gland.

Brain scans of MS patients show that all have calcification of the pineal gland.

MS patients have low levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that is a precursor of melatonin, and are regulated by melatonin.

The symptoms of MS correlate with those of serotonin deficiency: carbohydrate craving, fatigue, headache, sleep disorders, spasticity, poor bladder control, cognitive deficits, migraines, and a high rate of depression and suicide.

Nutritional or biochemical attempts to enhance serotonin synthesis in MS patients have not worked well. But the pineal gland is very sensitive to EMF, so researchers tried applying extremely low intensity, pulsed EMF in an attempt to ‘energize’ the gland. This treatment was successful in creating marked symptom improvement in 60% to 70% of MS patients in the study, and the remainder noticed mild to moderate improvement. The treatment was most effective at the early stages of the disease. EMF had been shown previously to affect the circadian release of melatonin, and boost the release of melatonin, and boost the release of neurotransmitters by altering intracellular calcium-ion transport at the synaptic level.

Re: "Third Eye", Pineal gland and magnets experiment
Heres a little more. I think I´ll try it out.

How Magnets Affect the Body

Although not exactly sure how, scientists believe that magnetic fields perturb the body’s own magnetic energy, which, in turn, triggers more conventional biochemical and physiological mechanisms. Magnetic fields:

· Increase blood flow, bringing in more oxygen and nutrients, and flushing away waste products.

· Modulate calcium flow through the body, which is essential to many physiological processes. Magnetic fields can attract calcium ions to heal a broken bone or help move calcium away from painful arthritic joints.

· Alter the acidity or alkalinity of body fluids, which are often out of balance with illness;

· Affect hormone production (including those of the brain’s all-important pineal gland), which initiates a cascade of biological effects.

· Alter enzyme activity and other biochemical processes, such as the production of ATP, a molecule that provides cellular fuel for the entire body.

· Stimulate electromagnetic energy flow through acupuncture meridians.

· Alter cell chromosome alignment.

Healing Applications

People have used magnetic therapy to treat many ailments. In Healing with Magnets, Gary Null provides an extensive list of not only these ailments but also supporting scientific studies (see Table). General uses include relief of pain and discomfort, reduction of inflammation, improved circulation, the ability to fight infections, reduction of stress, sleep promotion, correction of various central nervous system disorders, overall energy enhancement, acceleration of healing (especially bone fractures), and athletic performance enhancement.

Because paralysis aggravates many ailments amenable to magnetic therapy, it may be especially relevant for people with spinal cord dysfunction (SCD). Studies have shown that magnetic therapy is effective in controlling pain, enhancing circulation, promoting wound healing, reducing carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. (For specific ailments, review the listed resources.)

Pain

Pain is a societal problem of enormous proportions. For example, 80 % of Americans have severe back pain sometime in their lives, 40-million suffer from arthritic pain, and 40-million have recurrent headaches. Chronic pain alone costs the economy nearly $100 billion a year.

Painkilling drugs do not seem to be the answer. Their effectiveness is limited, the body builds up tolerance, and side effects hospitalize over 76,000 people each year.

Because of the need, pain has been the most emphasized magnetic-therapy application. Numerous studies support its efficacy.

Post-Polio Syndrome

One of the more scientifically rigorous of these studies focussed on the pain associated with post-polio syndrome (PPS) (see Vallbona, et al., Archives Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. November, 1997). As is frequently the situation with SCD, individuals with PPS experience pain for a variety of reasons, such as over-use injuries or joint and muscle inactivity.

This study used a double-blind design, the scientific “gold-standard” for showing effectiveness. The design eliminates the psychological placebo effect because neither physician nor subject knows who receives treatment or placebo control.

Physicians strapped either a small, low-intensity magnet or inactive magnet (placebo) to the most sensitive sore spots of 50 subjects with PPS, who were experiencing arthritic or muscle pain. Overall, 76% of the subjects who received the active magnet reported a decrease in pain. In contrast, only 19 % with an inactive magnet felt an improvement.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Magnetic fields also seem to relief MS symptoms. Several double-blind and many case studies suggest that pulsed electromagnetic fields can ease pain and spasticity and improve bladder control, cognitive function, fatigue level, mobility and vision in people with MS. (see Richards, et al., Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America, August, 1998).

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Many people believe that electromagnetic energy will eventually play a paramount role in neuronal regeneration and restoring function after spinal cord injury. Animal studies indicate that pulsed electromagnetic fields stimulate both peripheral and spinal cord neuronal regeneration, as well as functional recovery.

These fields influence 1) calcium influx through the neuronal cell membrane, which affects essential cellular functions; and 2) levels of key nerve growth factors, which affect regeneration. Furthermore, studies suggest that magnetic fields alter the physical matrix of the tissue scar that forms after spinal cord injury in a way that is less inhibitory to neuronal re-growth.

Spinal cord injury clinical applications of magnetism are growing. For example, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is one of the best ways to visualize the brain and spinal cord. A technique called functional magnetic stimulation enhances urination and defecation, prevents deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) by inducing leg contractions, and increases respiratory and coughing capability. And pulsed electromagnetic energy accelerates pressure ulcer healing.

Finally, there are anecdotal reports of some function being restored in humans using magnetic therapy, which will be discussed in a future article (insert link).

Conclusion

It is predicted that electromagnetism will become the foundation of 21st century medicine or, at least, the mortar that integrates the biochemical concepts that have been so fundamental to the medicine of the last century. Already providing important clinical applications, as well as tantalizing insights into neuronal regeneration, as Paracelus said “Magnetism is the King of all Secrets.”
