Im do not know the population of the united states, i think its in between 100 million and 300 millions, but for arguments sake lets say there are 100 million, ten percent of that is 10 thousand, now of course we know that the real un employment rate is way more than 10% conservative estimates are between 15-20%, regardless the unemployment rate does not record all the people who have not bothered filing for unemployment or have given up not to mention illegal aliens. So the true number of un-employed is way bigger. Your logic fails big time if you just basing that outlook on unemployment filings

Governments arent regulating the economy as before they are DE regulating it more and more. They dont make the decisions in the corporate boardroom. They dont decide where private capital is invested. If you dont like what private corporations are doing then it is there that the blame should be.

China has become the cheap labor force for private capital (most first world corporations). That's not Communism (or socialism if you prefer) since under those systems all production is supposed to be owned by the State. China's benefits are employment and higher disposible income. But international capital benefits by producing dirt cheap and exporting to first world consumers. It is becoming clear that that economic model is also not sustainable over the long term.

How about Lithium-Ion (lithium iron phosphate)? 1,053 BTU / lb

So far, I have seen nothing that matches the convenience and compactness of gasoline as a way or storing energy. Well, other than Diesel (141,331 BTU / gal)
